1 ReplyI guarentee you use meta in one way or another. Everyone does. In order to be "good" you have to use the meta or your going to get out gunned every time unless someone seriously sucks or wasnt paying attention.

You have better devils and sins of the past on 2 different characters. I know handcannons aren’t in a good place on console but it’s still pretty meta. And sins of the past is as meta as mida.

1 Replyah, ok, I'll bite, what does make you good? If the MIDA is beating you and you think that is the only reason, its common sense to also use the MIDA if you think your actually are better. This is true for literally every weapon. I'm constantly trying other weapons to see what works and what doesn't. Maps can have a big impact on what guns are the best for a given situation. If you have any experience at all you should know that. Another example, The LAst hope is arguably the best sidearm in the game. Its the best weapon in close quarters combat. But it is all but useless in the more open maps, where you can keep a bit of distance between you and your enemy.

4 RepliesYes, but it does make you competitive, and that's what its all about. As long as my Mida and Uriels Gift keep working and aren't nurf'd to the ground, I'll keep using them, along with whatever vanilla rocket launcher I have at the time. If you think about it, It's really no different than everyone using the Lens, just a shorter TTK. Was way more fun with everyone having the Lens than it is now. Bungie doesn't like us to have fun, so we're back to the usual.

7 RepliesThings I use that beat MIDA players consistently: 1) Origin Story 2) Better Devils 3) Black Scorpion 4SR Using the meta only gives a player around a 10% boost, in my opinion. I can't tell you the number of times I multi-killed people using meta when I was not using meta, and that was because I was just a better player.

So if you're using the meta and I'm using the meta, aren't we on the same playing field? If you're using the meta and I'm not and you win is it because of the meta or because of skill? If you're a good player, you're good player, period.

And you put teams of really good players against teams of other really good players, then chances are that they'd use the meta. So yeah while using the meta doesn't make you good, good players usually use the meta.

I'm thinking; they might as well all be using mida/last hope, then it's even sweeter if I get a win and positive kd. The goal to improve( no matter how slight) releases you from the ❄️ kung fu nerf grip. Use what u use best, play smart( my biggest fail) map awareness. A seasoned fireteam will whip arse pretty much constantly. Break em up, might die, go right back. If your going to lose from being put in a deathmatch, then have fun rushing and disrupting. I've been on plenty of rando teams that did just that and ended up winning. Some of the spooning circle jerk brigades can't keep it going unless they feel that bulge of a teammate behind them👍

When I hear people complaining about the meta I'm always curious to know what weapons you're using? There should be a rule that only people who do not use the meta are allowed to moan about it.
