Hallowfire Heart is not really good outside grenade spam under the ability increase nightfall modifier. It prevents you from using the super, which is the primary benefit to the subclass since it does good damage at range. The war rig is really solid all around.

I'll also add in that combining Hallowfire Heart with Path of the Siegebreaker means standing in a sunspot with a full super gets your abilities back REALLY fast. Combine that with a Thermite grenade and you'll pretty much always have one of your abilities charged.

What you say is true but your grenade will recharge within the duration of standing in a sunspot anyway. Plus you not only have to give up the use of your super for that benefit and produce fewer orbs for the group, but you also give up your exotic armor slot. Personally, I feel there are too many opportunity costs for Hallowfire use.

True. But Hallowfire Heart has gotten a lot more interesting for me, now that we also have orb-generating Masterwork Weapons
