The co-creator of Halo and former Bungie members (old and recent) have founded a studio called V1 Interactive.

Looks like they're creating an mmo fps. Certainly has online elements judging by the careers section.
Seems to be an independent studio as well and with that list of talent we should be in for a treat.

Edited by Tr0w: 12/15/2017 5:34:48 PMWell, they've signed up with Take2. I'm expecting shark cards... http://uk.ign.com/articles/2017/12/14/take-two-announces-new-label-private-division

This seems like a beyond massive undertaking if they are aiming for an mmo fps. They as of 2 days ago have like 22 total members on the team. Heck I think Tacoma and gone home dev Fullbright was considered tiny for even offline story based shorter (albeit amazing) games and they even had half the staff they have here. It's great to have high ambitions but i think if they don't grow by a decent clip they are going to be shrinking backing off from some of those lofty ambitions to more grounded concepts especially if they are independent. Analysts are still trying to figure out what the heck happened to lawbreakers that at least on steam like a month ago dipped down to like 12 players total, in an online only game.

please tell me your joking about them working on an FPS mmo

An mmo FPS?! Hmm, wonder if it’ll be futuristic, set on different alien worlds that you explore, where you’re fighting a group of aliens intent on destroying humanity, and you’ll play a man machine super soldier as part of a military force called sentinels or guardians or something? Yep, that’s probably the game right there!
-
Remember last time Bungie employees tried making an mmo fps?
-
Neat. Marty also founded his own studio called Highwire. They're coming out with a very interesting looking game called Golem
-
I’m also surprised at how much of Bungie’s personality is all over their new FB page, judging by how little they are I hope they do well. The new Bungie reminds me of the ‘ship question’, the one where you slowly replace all the boards with new ones, so then does it become a new ship or is it still considered the same one.

I dunno how I feel about them leaning on AAA experience so hard. Smells like a sellout in the making honestly. Hopefully it's some sort of passion project. But like the ghost said that one time... "Feels like a trap".
-
Why mmo Fps? Kinda sick of these. They always end up lackluster.
-
What'll happen is they'll show off something that looks promising, then be bought by either EA, Activision, Ubisoft, or Take2 and everything gets ruined. Or they get bought by Microsoft or Sony and any title they make is console exclusive.
-
I liked them on Facebook, I don’t like Facebook.
-
Definatly checking this out.
-
That is a good chunk of ex-bungie employee too wow. Idepenent too mmmm sound interesting !!!!
-
I'm really interested in seeing what they cook up in the future.
-
If they partner with activision then I️ won’t buy it.

Edited by Hunter: 12/11/2017 3:29:02 PMFor some reason I can't load the site. Shame. My WiFi isn't bad either. Edit: Wonder what traffic is like right now on the site.

Interesting, but if they have big ambitions it will need big funding. With their pedigree I wonder if they will consider the crowdfunding route, rather than selling out to an EA or Activision? I know I would probably back it. .

Interesting

Man, if those guys made Destiny it'd be a lot better than what it is now. Only things I wouldn't change are the raids and lore, though. I love those two things about Destiny

Indie devs arouse me.

Edited by Navi: 12/10/2017 6:06:09 PMI would be lying if I said I wasn't interested, but I'm not sure where it says they are working on an mmofps. I see they are excited to tell us about the game they are working on but haven't actually said what it is yet. Hopefully their passion for making games shows with what they are working on!

Interesting indeed.
