I'm not looking for a couple of really powerful exotics though... I'm looking for more reason to wanna use the others. There shouldn't be obvious right and wrong answers when choosing an exotic. Though, you are right in saying those ones are good. I mean so far as pve goes Orpheus rig is always my number one choice. But for those looking for other alternatives most of the options afforded them wont compete. Variety is the spice of life after all. And we got all these exotics to choose from. I just feel it'd be nice to have a reason to choose from more than a select few. That's all...

I hear you......but how many times did you use the Arachnid hunter helmet in D1? There are plenty of niche exotics that don't do much. Trust me, I wish each one was useful and I didn't have to curtail my play style to fit the most powerful exotic but that's just not the case.

I actually did have some luck with that one in crucible when i was using it. Open maps were great for golden gun sniping at range. I do see your point that it was a rather niche exotic though. But a lot of them are much more limited than they need to be. I think the tricksleeves vs the ophidian aspect is a great example of that. Since the sleeves are both limited to one type of weapon and don't give any other bonus. I really do think that if they sat down and took another look at some of the more limited ones they could really make some ok adjustments. Its a shame to see so many exotics go to waste when there is just so much potential not being used already. It's also kind of a shame to see them crank out a couple OP ones while others are given perks like "headshot kills reload a single bullet to a stowed gun" xD I mean that's just such a weirdly specific way to make something bad. In any case, you said you wished other exotics were useful? Was there one that fits your play style that just isn't quite up to par that comes to mind?

I love the Foetracer but the damage bonus just comes a bit too late. I wish it started at half health.
