Darkness Resides.

What if Destiny took a rather drastic turn in the approach to the game. It could play out like this. Cut-scene your guardian at the tower, just soaking in the surroundings, highlighting the factions who are now more radical and pronounced in their rhetoric. Dead orbit ominously pleading to those left to join them in leaving the system. Future war cult seems to be in control as they are guarding the tower with a heavy presence. Further progression through the tower you see a group of new monarchy down an ally, that seem to have noticed you as they quietly part ways. As you reach a railing over looking the city your gaze meets the traveler and you collapse. Ears ringing, screen gone to white, and a voice. Faint at first until it quickly becomes overpowering. You discover it is that of the traveler, and you are in danger. Not from death but from the darkness that has been festering since your light returned. Its voice is quick and direct and tells that contact from the dark shard has left a so called tether to the 'void'. It warns that though, the promise of power seems appealing and great, to not lose hope and hold on to your light. Confused, you question the motive of this 'darkness' , why you should hold on to your light, and why the traveler laid dormant for so long. It explains almost feverishly that it has laid dormant for so long until now, is that a direct connection from light to dark hasnt existed untill you came in contact with the dark shard. It goes on to explain that something it now refers to as the 'dark lords' are wanting to exploit you to destroy the followers of the light and has since started to effect the world around you. Your vision has since been restored and you now notice the full grasp of dissent among the populace. Drop ships of dead orbit seem to only to be leaving as none ever re enter the city. You notice skirmishes between the future war cult 'guards' and new monarchy 'rebels'. It warns that things are not only being effected here but across the stars. Before the traveler can continue a void gate appears in front of you and out comes eris moon. She binds you and are transported to the void. in between light and dark she says, a neutral space. She explains that your soul is now bound between the two plains and that a choice will have to be made in the near future of what side to choose. Before another word you are taken to a new character creation screen where you make your 'dark character'. You are then told that this isnt the choice but that you should see the other side of the light. Etc etc etc This is just a start to an idea ive been mulling over pertaining to what destiny could turn into still. But i mean adding a dark side would allow a potential for an actual two sided battle between actual players. The faction thing was my take on added potential for a more indepth story with quests and what not pertaining to each faction. At this point writing fan fic on this forum is actually more exciting then playing this locked out game i now own till i fork out the dough for the dlc. P.s. fix crucible. Its impossible to play against Prometheus lens.
