I am from a simpler time when you paid for a full game and DLC only expanded the experience. Gamers today wouldn't know what that's like.

So what kind of company is Rockstar Games? They don’t even have a forum for community feedback. Do they not care about their fan base? Are their micro transactions predatory? Is that why they named them shark cards? It’s sad how bad Bungie owns some of you. #StockholmSyndrome

It’s 20 bucks... what did you expect it to add? The raid lair is extremely well done. The campaign is super short but they all were aside from TTK. We still have 2 big sandbox / QOL updates within the next month, and The Dawning. Once I realized Bungie wants this game to be something we play, put down so we can do other things, then come back later (instead of a virtual job like D1 was) I’m ok with all of this. It’s ok to put the controller down, play other things or have a life, and come back later.

This is what you payed for in CoO!! -Basically 4 actual exotics that arnt re-hashes or just invisible % increases. -30 "power levels" that are gained within 2 weeks (doesn't matter, seeing as the world is tuned to you anyways) -A 200x200m square mercury with 2 public events that give blues -The 'infinite forest' which is repeating set-blocks of the same color/design over and over that take roughly 5-15 minutes to complete. For blues. -A "raid tier" shorter than the first ENTIRE raid. In the same ship. With the same design. With the same looking weapons. That...guess what? Have the same modifiers. And GUESS WHAT. HAVE THE SAME ENEMIES INSIDE. -Same-same BUT different heric strikes. Essentially enemies that get bullet spungey and do more damage. For.... Maybe another legendary emblem. -1 new PvP map that looks like its ripped from Halo Forge. -Some 'Armor ornaments' That essentially just add a flashlight or an antenna to your helmet. -Some new premium shaders...But oh lets get to that... ATLEAST THE BRIGHT DUST VENDOR GOT AN OVERHAUL AND THE ONLY UNIQUE LOOKING PIECES IN THE GAME ARE IN THERE. YOU BOUGHT ACCESS TO THE STORE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO GET MORE LOOT BOXES WITH YOUR VISA. THERE'S MORE BRIGHT-DUST SKINS IN THE VENDOR THAN THERE ARE ARMOR PIECES IN THE GAME. Ahem~ No new abilities or skill tree changes. No PvP balance or adjustments, still cant que for what games modes you want too while locked in 4v4. No PvP ranking system. No significant PvE changes. Shoot the glowing part to win. Still locked in a 3 person 'fireteam' No real challenge besides prestige raids. 90% of which were cheesed with ward-coils. This 'new tier' will probably be cheesed aswell with no fix until next expansion next spring (If this game isnt canned by then) I Hate you bungie. In my day, DLCs were shivering isles. Or RD Undead nightmare. With half the tools developers released more for less. IN CURRENT TIMES Take a look at the witcher 3. Blood and Wine as a DLC is bigger than Destiny 2 as an entire game. A castle is the size of mercury and 10x as detailed. A single character has more voice lines than EVERY character in the DLC combined. This 'content' is effortless trash. I refunded within an hour. I feel bad for anyone who eats this garbage up. You probably vibe to mumble rap and eat frozen dinners as luxury. You have zero taste in games. And ABSOLUTELY no concept of quality

Heroic strikes were added as part of the dlc and are thus dlc content and can be blocked behind a paywall. Prestige activities had to be increased to account for the new light level otherwise there would be 335 people going at a 300 activity. If the level cap is raised, the threshold for top tier endgame activity must be raised otherwise it doesnt fit its purpose. From what I've seen, bungo has done a great job of separating new content from old rather than consolidating both into one form accessible by dlc owners only. You can still do regular strikes, regular crucible and even late game activities which I fully expected to be transferred to dlc. Quit whining.

I'm really pissed about having everything taken from me just to give it back if I pay for it again. The forge weapons are the best thing about this DLC. Just let that sink in for a second.

It's obvious a lot of people are upset about this. I for one am put off by the lack of access to end game material. Just because they did things this way last time doesn't mean they should continue. Follow that logic along and there would be literally no progress to anything. I bought the game and was going to buy the season pass today until I saw these limitations that hobble the experience of the base game fully. I vote with my money and Bungie/Activision are on probation until I see how they respond to the community. I don't mind forking up money for more player slots, higher level caps, and definitely for more content. But not if those caps hobble the base game experience. Myself and three friends who bought the game together will be waiting for a response.

I would really like to know what the other 2 studios working on D2 have added? I thought they were supposed to be working on LIVE content. If that's true, where is it? And if they are working on the back end stuff....why does it seem like Bungie is dragging their feet with the main game?

I literally had to buy this DLC so I can play trials. Trials is unplayable because of Prometheus lens. Great.

You must not have been around during D1.... This is common practice for every DLC they’ve dropped. Those that are veteran Destiny players have already seen your same argument on these forums time and time again.

Let me ask this: How would they bring the base raid prestige mode up to current power levels (e.g. 330+) AND let players participate in it without the expansion? Really think about it... it’s a paradox. Players without the expansion would enter prestige mode at 305. The only solution I can think of is if they had two different versions the prestige mode raid; one for people with the expansion and one without... I guess they could have just not brought the power level up to match the new cap too, but... idk. I’m not happy with a lot of D2, but I always like to consider how a complaint would get fixed, or else it’s just whining. Edit: They could obviously just make it free like @jam111cam suggested in this sub thread. But if you exclude giving it away, I’m not there are other solid options.

As I just said to someone else there if they make all dlc in future free and support it through eververse then I would happily drop a couple quid in the store (and I hate loot boxes) I’d even accept them expanding eververse a little (not pay to win) to help support this . That way no one is left behind and the micro transactions are much more palatable . Or eververse could be a store that you pay for items rather than the roll of a dice . Either way I believe the community would support it if future content was free

this is how Destiny has ALWAYS worked. no you can't play heroic strikes as you don't have the new content added in there., no you can't play the heroic raid, because again new content you didn't pay for. base game is the story mission, not end game activities and content where new strikes and maps have been added. know about the game you buy before you complain...
