The playerbase is already shriveled up to almost nothing, now you have a DLC paywall separating the players that are left. Nobody is buying it, more players of the base game will leave since you've removed content and DLC players are going to walk away in a week when they get tired of walking around MERCURY!. Not to mention your PR is in ruins
Give this DLC away, get millions of players back, fix your sandbox and maybe there will be players left when you want to sell your 3rd expansion.

Edited by MightyJonE: 12/7/2017 7:48:24 PMLook, here’s the thing - I think by now, and after 3 years, Bungie have seen and read all the grievances there is to see and read about Destiny. Everyone’s said everything a million times over, so, apart from any feedback regarding any new minor alterations, there’s nothing more to say that hasn’t already been said by players, repeatedly So despite all this, if the current state of Destiny is the game they’ve created regardless, and therefore players are still dissatisfied, then perhaps we have to seriously consider just moving on elsewhere Look, as a business, I’m sure Bungie and Activision see the forums as helpful feedback - whether they respond to it or not, along with their analytics, it helps them fine-tune the game to endeavour to maximise profits. But if this is the result, what’s the point anymore of coming here? We’re buying into Destiny with our money. Our hard-earned money. And games aren’t cheap. In an age where wages have been stagnating for many years while the cost of living has risen, our money is more precious than ever. And this is compounded by a sense that certain developers and/or publishers are living in a bubble Compared to many many games, the value simply isn’t there in Destiny’s content. We’re paying a lot for very little. And after 3 years, there’s the sense that Destiny is STILL on the rocks, that Bungie are STILL pulling some of the same old stunts. And so perhaps it’s time for those of us who are disenfranchised enough to finally throw in the towel And sadly say, enough is enough

I just keep telling myself "at least it's not EA" although Activision has been getting much worse as of late.
-
Won’t change anything. Once you beat the game and hit max level there is nothing to do. There’s nothing to grind for nothing to do. No end game what so ever. At least with d1 we had random weapon rolls so we could grind for the perfect one. The game caters too much for casuals and is just overall boring. I’ll play the two dlcs because I got them with the game but if there aren’t any major changes destiny will be dead to me.

wanna hear a funny joke? "Microtransactions will be used to fund future content" HAHAHAHAHA

):
awesome 😎 - old
Where are you getting your facts? Even before the dlc dropped I've seen no shortage of eager players. -
Go light a few candles and cry. Spare the silent majority of us who enjoy the game the drama

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 12/8/2017 1:46:47 AMIt's funny reading some of the replies on here of gamer's "thinking" they are defending this company, and they don't even realize what they are actually saying. It's okay Bungie, keep lying about XP, SBMM etc... It's okay Bungie, keep creating paywalls and remove content. It's okay Bungie, I don't mind you had me pay full price for a game presented under false pretenses. It's okay Bungie, you can keep hiding like a child. It's okay Bungie, you can keep making false promises. (It's okay Bungie, I'm your doormat and you can walk all over me anytime you want.) I'll defend you no matter what so you can keep doing all of the above statements as many times as you like. I'm your #1 fan :)

Completely unrealistic. The expansion is worth $20. It is absolutely worse than D1, Bungie screwed the pooch on many things, but everybody got their money’s worth. At the end of the day hours of entertainment were provided for a reasonable cost.
-
Crucible is ruined
-
I got it for free. Or someone bought it for me anonymously.
-
Lolololololololol
-
Lol, so basically you’re cheap asf and can’t afford the DLC. Get a life kid
-
So why are all the people in here who hate this game and the company's involved in its creation still here? Move on with your life. You'll be happier.
-
Bunch of whiners... I bet they spent more on fast food and Starbucks in one day than if they would have bought the expansion. I mean really some things are just not worth being so cheap about.
-
It would bring me back. I'm not paying for this crap dlc. Now I'm just hoping that when the second expansion comes out, it will have enough content to warrant $20. If they can make the next dlc worth it, and not make the current dlc a prerequisite for it, I'll buy in and be back. Otherwise I'll have to hang my hat and leave everything but the memories.
-
Very interesting perspective; I wish this would happen, but I know it won't (unless they are really desperate or really pushed for getting players back into the game). Maybe meet you in the middle and put the DLC on sale? That's the only semi-realistic option that Bungie would ever consider. I wouldn't mind paying $5-10 for 2 days of content, but $20 is absurd. Getting 33% completion on a brand new game would easily last me more than 2 days.

Too late. I stopped playing this trash after the XP throttling was exposed. I just roam the forums now, a shell less soul of a prior Bungie/Destiny fan. Be sure to purchase some Silver at the Eververse. :)
-
If only they could refund my time spent too
-
Too late. No matter how bad bungie -blam!-s up there is some stupid causal player that thinks D2 is he best game ever created. And if you say that there is no grind they will respond saying, "play a different game" or "get a life". So yeah this game is meant for dads or really bad casuals
-
How would CoO bring "millions" of players back, if millions left during vanilla? Your logic is flawed here.
-
Forums are less than 1% of the playerbase.
-
You sound like an entitled brat.
-
That won't be enough to get players back. Too little too late. Bungie would have to do something so huge to win over the players. What would that be? Bring EVERY location from Destiny 1, All the original Pvp modes plus loads extra, I loved Combined arms pvp why the feck get rid of it? And no reskins what so ever. Seriously Bungie you have no choice but to go all out if want Destiny to have a future
-
Ah you're forgetting, we get the dawning soon. For free. And all the eververse that comes with it. For not free.

Edited by Raevenent: 12/8/2017 3:13:03 PMI'm still finding lots of people. What're you going on about? 50+ active members in my clan so...

Agreed, I'm never coming back if they don't do something, refund, apology, some form of acknowledging they screwed us over time and time again.
