All I hear on main radio stations is rhythm and blues, electronics, and rap. Why can we not have more variety?

There are many stations that play just that?

Out of these I have to go with classical but then there are some good classics out there. But who would call jazz boring
-
4 RepliesIm gonna make a big fat generalization here and say that anyone who thinks jazz is boring simply doesnt understand it. If someone doesnt like it, of course thats fine. But it's far more complex than most of the popular stuff out there today.
I-V-vi-IV can suck my interpolated ii
1 ReplyIs listen to classical a lot, am I considered old bc I'm just in my twenties
-
X Ambassadors island Imagine Dragons are the solution.

2 RepliesI feel like you'd have to be more specific here. Like, Metal is still very popular today, but I'm sure if you asked some people they would consider bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, et cetera as "oldies" and/or "boring". I can't speak for Rock personally. I haven't listened to Rock since I was around 12 when I'd just sit around and watch Kerrang! TV for hours.

2 RepliesThose are pretty shitty categories. Newer jazz music is pretty bad, though, and I'd argue that the more mainstream music is what I find to be the most boring. Not even just boring, shit like Rihanna gives me a damn headache.

Low key I don’t mind listening to any of the genre specified above

I love to listen to some Kelpy G. to help me wind down after a rough day.
-
For me personally, playing jazz guitar is fun. When listening it's not as enjoyable.
-
Jazz imo. Don't hear that anywhere.

I used to play piano and guitar, even tho i love the majority of Jazz and Orchestra music some of it tends to be boring and longwinded, like for example i can listen to any etude or prelude but not any long ass symphony. Then jazz has some really interesting choruses and chord progressions that lift my soul but they have these long-ass solos, i mean some i can listen for hours if they're really inventive but if they're just jerking off on the instrument (very few jazz guitarist play bad solos) then i tune out. classical music tends to paint a scenario for me, while jazz tends to paint a feeling or different feelings. I love both of them for their differences, but it's no surprise why they're outdated and misrepresented, they require patience ,knowledge and some creativity. Which i think alot of people who just want to get to work flipping a burger don't wanna listen to. Music is commodity it's not an experience like it used to be.

Those sell more commercial shit. Kirn made it big because Addidas sponsored them. Once they left Adidas, they got less air play.

Opera.

2 RepliesOrchestra? You mean classical music? I stopped listening to the radio years ago... I find most my music through the internet. There’s a few okay stations around where I live (independent stations) but mostly I hate nine out of ten songs I hear in the radio.
