So I have been playing a lot of iron banner and about 1/5 of my games are me filling in for people who have left a losing game, I don't know if this has always been the norm, but I feel that I would appreciate if there was an option to opt out of filling in for other people who have left their games.

We should track slim

1 ReplyIgnore ELO, it's useless. Someone could be the worst player in the world and have a great ELO.
-
1 ReplyI find it a good challenge to join a vacancy. I Know the other players will likely appreciate it. Helping them come from behind a point deficit is pretty rewarding especially against a premade team (90% of the time this happens due to rage quitters). My only problem with it is super charging starting from 0, should be at least half to 3\4 full just to be fair. Nothing worse than getting instant killed 2 or 3 times in a row by supers.
-
Crazy idea, never will happen. Punish the quitters instead of the people who hang around and lose with dignity.
-
ELO is an outside organization stat, Destiny does not track ELO. Destiny Tracker, has an announcement on their site right now that talks about KDA, KAD, KD, and ELO. Go check it out.

1 ReplyEdited by XX_HOLT_XX: 11/26/2017 5:06:59 PMUnfortunately, Bungie doesn't care about ELO as it's not their system. I play a lot of solo PVP and I just gave up on my elo. My K/D is good, but if you run solo a lot ELO is hard to maintain given the massive skill gap in this game. My buddies who care about elo only play on stacked teams to ensure their elo stays hi. For me, I just want to shoot stuff... LOL!!! Have a good one!
-
Blame the people that quit.
-
Bungie hates you and thinks this idea is stupid.
-
If they let you Opt Out of joining mid-games then No One would ever fill in, because everyone would choose to opt out. just saying.....
-
I wouldn't mind, as long as they spawn you with equal super, heavy, etc. but most times you are facing a team of 4, with all heavies and full supers. Not fun.
-
4 RepliesCombat rating and win/loss ratio. If you’re playing solo, and your win/loss is creeping up over 50%, Bungie does their best to hand you a loss. Can’t have people winning too much in the age of the participation 🏆
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't mind if the game spotted us a catch-up on super energy. Joining mid-game usually means no super, which double-stinks in IB depending on the daily challenges.
-
3 RepliesElo is meaningless, I had a 29 kill game and lost over 100, I got a We Ran Out of Medals and Unbroken in another and lost Elo, meanwhile I committed suicide over 20 times in another match and quit and gained Elo.
-
Bungie just needs to start handing out punishment for people who abandone games
-
Edited by Niiv: 11/27/2017 2:57:24 AMBungie doesn't use ELO to determine anything. They do track your W/L ratio and try to keep it as close to 1:1 as possible, which explains why you'll get thrown onto the losing team when the score is 42 to 16 in Clash and the match has 1:12 left.
-
Edited by FLEXIBLE03: 11/26/2017 9:18:10 PMI thought Elo was for third party websites, don’t know wtf Bungie uses to differentiate players but it seems broken, like always.
-
If you join a game in progress it doesn't effect your elo.
-
So I thought elo was just kinda a third party thing? If actually is taken into consideration a lot of things would need to happen. Stop giving positive elo for dnfs. I have over 300+ matches and maintain around a 50% win loss. I look at some people that boast about their elo...with ~60 matches, high kd, and decent win loss ratio...but took full advantage of dnf system. Imo give them a full loss, and effect their kd, stop spoiling the shit out of these people.
-
Edited by GalaxySpider: 11/26/2017 6:38:52 PMThe ELO system has nothing to do with Bungie nor is it a official announced feature. It’s a third party system. Ask Trialsreport why they still do this. Also ELO means nothing btw. People should stop watching meaningless bogus numbers and simply enjoy their time with the game(s).

Yea this game is terrible
