During the Arecibo Adventure mission on Io, I noticed that ONLY specifically with subtitles on, the ghost was supposed to mention this “Here on eden” place, however the ghost never said it himself.
If anybody has a clue what “Eden” is, it would be amazing if you could give some insight

It’s the development name for Io.

To answer your question, Io is told to be one of the first places the traveler touched, which is why we hold it sacred. In other context, the garden of eden was the first place created by God in the bible, which compares to how the traveler touched Io. Maybe the traveler is a god? Maybe Rasputin sees the traveler as a god? who knows...

Eden was the name for Io when the game was still in development. It was left in the subtitles by accident. The same happens with the name Myriad being used for Nessus.

The subtitles sometimes have some lines that Ghost doesn't speak, the Arecibo mission isn't the only one there. Though I have no idea if that are secret hints or "cut" concent, in a sense that this was the planned dialogue, but they changed it later on and forgot to change the subtitles for whatever reason. If I think about "Eden" in relation to Destiny, Mercury comes to my mind. Mercury was said to be "a garden world" prior to the collapse and total conversion into a machine planet.

If I remember correctly, the subtitles should mention it on the second examinable object
