I get the size limitations in the old vault. I do. Hundreds of items with random rolls means tracking millions of variations. Don't really with the new one. It limits us OCD completionists grinding for gear (specifically armor sets). And you want to encourage people to play more, right? My suggestion is kiosks that you have to earn unlocks for. Put in a kiosk for armor sets. Have an entire set? Redeem it (it can cost shards or whatever) and you unlock the ability to grab that set again (also for shards or something) at anytime at the power level of the lowest item redeemed (kiosks drop with no mods). Same could go for guns, and shaders. Redeem 5 of the same gun, or 100 of the same shader to unlock it permanently. Etc with maybe some other game items. This would allow us the freedom to try more guns, and truly customize our armor without regret. You don't have to expand vault size then. Win for players who have more freedom, and bungie who would encourage more playtime.
