Activision Matchmaking
Might be a little late thought you might know that Activision has a algorithm to put players against better players with paid items to intice novice players to buy said paid items and after match those players against even weaker players to make puchase feel like a good purchase

At the end of the day Activision is a business and so is bungie they have to do whatever they need to do to survive and thrive. They don't have to tell the player anything I have never played a game before where a company has been as open as bungie has been with us and I appreciate it. I also put more time into destiny than any other title but just like COD and assassin's creed this game is not my life if I get frustrated I will just not buy into any more content and just move on

They have a patent that was developed by a research department not connected to any game studios. Unless it's been published somewhere, there's no evidence this has actually been implemented in any games. It's also not really relevant to Destiny, since the Bright Engrams you can purchase don't grant any weapons as described in the patent.
