The worst of it is that this company made Halo. Should have stayed with microsoft. They left to spread their wings and be more independent, but were immediately snatched out of the sky and eaten alive. This broken husk isnt the real bungie. The employees and ideas which represented its heart and soul left the building years ago. No, this is something else masquerading behind a dead legends face.

  • Wasn't the reason they used for leaving because Microsoft wanted them to keep making Halo games, and Bungie wanted to work on a new IP? Also Microsoft owned Bungie, and they wanted to be independent again. I think the deal was they were contractually obligated to make 2 more Halo games and then Microsoft would allow them to be independent again. That's why we got ODST and Reach. It's an interesting topic to ponder whether or not Bungie thinks they made the right decision in hindsight. I don't blame them for wanting to work on other projects instead of Halo, but if they knew what they were getting themselves into with Activision, would they have still made the deal? They aren't even allowed to talk to their community without consent from their publisher. And apparently the deadlines for releasing games and DLC are super strict. You are correct, this isn't the same Bungie we knew. They are pretty much Activision's bitch
