Hopefully Anthem will be everything I hoped Destiny would be

3 RepliesYou f*ckrs need to look at monster hunter world. Not Anthem. Anthem won't be out until next fall. Until then look at monster hunter world. Its out on January. Has multi-player coop like every other monster hunter game since ps2 Era. It's the first Western release of a monster hunter game on home consoles. Every other iteration was on 3ds and the wii u game was Japan exclusive. Do you want tactics? You're covered. You want crafting? Got it there. You want emotes? Psh it's had emotes since 2004 and it kept growing throughout the years. Monster hunter series is one of the most difficult but immensely satisfying games out there and it's world is lively as hell. One of the best multi-player franchises on mobile consoles is finally coming to current generation of consoles and it'll be enhanced on Xbox one x and ps4 pro. No dlc season passes or micro transactions here. All the dlc for previous MH games were always free.

1 ReplyI used to love Bioware. Not the case anymore. Kind of pissed to find out that Anthem's the reason Andromeda became a disappoint (which I did not buy). I'd rather it didn't, though if it is I will get it. But at the least, maybe it'll make the cucks at Bungie get their shit together and start fixing this game.

Tbh here, i gotta level with anthem... 1) EA is a part of it. 2) One of the main developers recently died. 3) A veteran designer recently left as well. Bungie lost 1 writer in destiny and it turned into this... I am still excited, just kinda scared too.

Gamers really are the easiest sort to sell things to lol. I am willing to bet it has lootboxes when it comes out, making it a fee to pay game. Not only that but the boxes will have pay to win levels of rewards in them. Of course you can earn them through gameplay so people will help excuse them because they are sheep lol. Enjoy denialists.

Nope all games will be exactly how destiny is in terms of greed and micro transactions from this point on. It's was too easy to take advantage of children in this system to go away from it. Maybe all the people on here can say they don't use micro transactions. But my boss has 2 kids one is 8 the other 11. And they -blam!- him of money for micro transactions in all their games and parents today are to distracted to stop it. As long as little Johnny stays out of their way and doesn't cut himself with scissors parents are willing to open third wallets to micro transactions. It's becoming clear video games are truly meant for children under 16 especially when we are talking about console and mobile games.

they would start off by saying "see that mountain over there, hell yeah you can go to it". Seriously though, we all had high hopes in 2013 for this game and look what happened. After Destiny, I will be very careful as to how hyped and excited I get about a game in development and what we are told it will be.. let me see it, play it and decide for my self.. no pre orders this time around.

Hope is all you can do, it seem like most AAA games these days kill themselves before any decent game can come along to. I have just as much hope for D2 as I do with Anthem.........which is very little.

While I am... intrigued by Anthem, I find myself concerned with the amount of hype that it's getting. We've been down this road before, and Gamers get burned every single time. Remember how much everyone hyped Destiny1 (myself included) into it's own orbit around the Sun? What happened 2-3 months after Destiny1 released? Remember how much everyone hyped Destiny 2 into the stratosphere? What's happening right now on these Forums and Reddit? Remember the hype for The Division? Look at those Gamers now. Gamers (and I'm no exception) have the habit of finding a game exciting, then hyping those soon-to-be-released games up to Deity-level levels of expectation. So much so, that the finished game cannot in any way, meet but a fraction of what the Player base thinks it will be. Then when the game releases, there's nothing but disappointment. While I'm excited for Anthem as well, I'm staying cautiously mum on it until I see the finished product. I burned myself too badly with my own hype for Destiny 1, and thus I was acerbically skeptical about Destiny 2. I'm approaching Anthem with the same level of hesitation.

I’m tempted to go back to GTA V. At least they have new events on a regular basis. Suck ass grind but it’s still a fun game to play.

Nobody should be hyped for Anthem. At most, be cautiously optimistic. Far too little is known about the game. We can hope the game is good, and I personally believe it will be given bioware's track record. But I won't get myself hyped just yet.
