You know, probably the most ironic thing about PoE (aside from the name) is that it's attracting a lot of new people to the game for heaven knows why, but it isn't exactly a noob friendly update. From the amount of of farming and grinding, needing to have all main quests finished (I'd assume) and needing to be at least semi - knowledgeable about the way stuff works... It's not something you'll be able to just install and start playing.

Actually you only have to have the first quest (vors prize) done. That is nothing. The game has a bit of a learning curve. If you give it enough time, you'll understand it. The problem is people will quit before they even know how the movement works, let alone the other features. Is it a cure all to the disgruntled destiny 2 fans? Absoultly not, but it can distract them for a couple months until bungie figures out how to continue. Also, I would love to see DE (digital extremes) get some love for the effort they put forth keeping their game relevant.

Edited by Upperclass Bum: 10/22/2017 4:21:37 PMDE is like a puppy to me. Puppy gets praise and treats when puppy doesn't make stupid mistakes like pissing in the house... I give them credit were credit is due, no more, no less. Also, considering some of the content requires you to use your operator, I'd imagine you'd need to finish the particular quests relevant to that sort of thing.

I have not seen anything that involved the operator, but it doesn't surprise me. They have to have things for the vets to do too. Can't make a huge update like this and just make it for the noobs . It doesn't effect me anyways, I'm past that part. I stand at MR8 (forever, cause I suck....lol) at the moment.

Edited by Upperclass Bum: 10/22/2017 4:30:46 PMKilling Eidolons for starters (unless you circumvent the shield phase by running a squad of Titanias with shield disruptor or whatever it's called) requires you to use your operator. And my point wasn't at all about them making the update fir noobs, I'm saying it's odd noobs have interest in something that isn't noob friendly on paper or in practice.

Ahh, I watched some gameplay on it, but just enough to peek my interest. If I didn't mention it, I'm on PS4 so I still have to wait a bit for it.
-
I'm still waiting myself (on xbox) I have a pc that's more than capable of running it, but I'm MR 21, nearly 22 on xbox, so there's no point in starting over. I only know what I know 'cause the channels I'm subbed to.

I could possibly be a MR 10 or higher, but I can't pass the MR9 test. I practice too and I can't get past it.
its the one where you have to kill enemies from behind. I always get detected.
Edited by Upperclass Bum: 10/22/2017 5:49:53 PMDo you have Banshee and Redeemer? Easy mode if you do. Before they -blam!-ed up Redeemer, you didn't even need Banshee for her passive, you could just blast the hell out of them with Redeemer and there you go, MR 9. Edit: I might be thinking of a different test, but I'm almost sure you can do it on that one too. I'll check when I'm done with sorties. Edit 2: It is indeed the test and it still works. Just don't let the enemies see the bodies 'cause it will count as being detected (a little tricky at times 'cause even without blast damage it can still send enemies on a trip) but other than that, it will one shot the enemies. I should also note that this applies at all ranges. If you can see them, you can kill them. The third section requires some careful planning though, you can't just start dropping them at random.

I do not have banchee yet, although I can research the parts at my dojo. Is redeemer an ability? Albilities won't work because I tried Ivara and prowl and it won't let you. Its also just melee weapon so I can't even throw my knives. Right now I'm a bit frustrated so its not holding me back from anything yet. I'll research banchee when some of my other stuff is done.

Redeemer is gunblade. It's a melee weapon, but it has a firing mechanic. The shots from it used to be silent but they nerfed it (along with -blam!-ing up both gunblades in general) which is why you need Banshee for her passive.

Ok, I checked that out. I'm a little ways from that. Gives me something to work for though, thanks.
