Edited by OImABeastO78: 10/22/2017 2:10:24 PMBungie should provide a split of who out of these numbers are on D1 & D2. As far as I'm aware this graph shows ALL people logging onto Destiny.

I upvoted. They destroyed Destiny to trash level.

It seems more people are playing destiny 1 than destiny 2 if you go off of how long it takes to find matches in pvp and others for strikes. Lol rip destiny 2

Well after getting thru 2 characters and not even wanting to start a 3rd. Im finally going to have to agree. Its just not as FUN as D1 was. Even the adjustments they made to try to make the game more user friendly and to try to get people together better they seemed to have removed some of the fun factors in the game itself. Been nice just to make this another continuation off of D1 without changing the button layout on your controller, Level 16 before you get a speeder? Really? We got a speeder at like the second part of the story line in D1. D2 you got to run around the dam place til L16. Wth? Still basically a grind session and honestly I find it more difficult finding people to play with in D2 than I did in D1. Anyways I agree some real improvements could be made. Maybe they will over the next year as they have a really big fan base. Ill set it down for a bit and come back later when I have the drive again.

Ouch Less than a million pvp players :( That’s kinda painful and should be a reality check for bungie . Hopefully get that Luke smith activision dicks out of their asses and get this game on the right track ...

The problem I see with Destiny 2 is this: Bungie developed a game that is extremely based on casual players. Its designed with the thought that Casual players will play less, and therefore artificially increase the lifetime of their content, as they consume it at a slower rate than hardcore or more dedicated players. The issue here, is that, hardcore players reach the end game, and stick around for a while, consuming new content if it is released at a steady pace. However, Bungie is not releasing a steady pace of content, albeit it is not their fault, game design is hard, and once you have that schedule, it is hard to be faster than it (To be honest, should have created a schedule based on hardcore players, make it longer for us, and by association, casuals have a longer game.) But, I digress, the hardcore players begin to drop off, as they lose the desire to play for menial things, such as cosmetics, which to be honest, are not a reward. By example, a profession football player would definitely stop playing, if all he got was a participation ribbon. In this case, your shaders, and cosmetic gear is just that, a participation ribbon and Aura's, I don't know what you are thinking about Aura's, (Story Time) I was in a party with a casual player, helping him with the standard nightfall, and he asked what my halo was for. I explained I did the harder content, and if he wanted, I could help him out too. He persisted to say, "why bother, if all you get is an Aura, it just means you wasted your time, and people know it." That's when it hit me, people don't look at the Aura with awe, its just a big "You wasted time" icon above your head. You are making content with no meaning, with no reason, with no purpose. Your content that is actually hard, is not enticing, there is no foundation to run it, especially prestige nightfalls, because you literally only get a temporary cosmetic. (Prestige Nightfalls are the worst, as shaders, and loot are obtained from normal versions of the strike, therefore the ONLY reason to do a prestige nightfall is for the Aura, which goes away in a week, IF you do it right away on Tuesday reset.) Casuals tend to not run the raid either, they want to watch it, sure, but they don't want to play it. I was doing your prestige raid yesterday, and the group literally disbanded because there was "no point to doing this for shaders and recolored loot". I'm not sure what's going on with this game, I suspect you want it to die on purpose, to get out of your contract, as a failing game doesn't mean you broke the contract yourself. On a final note, it occurred to me that casuals, without hardcore players, are not going to even seen the content and your guided games, they are useless. You are not going to see a casual clan guide a new player through the raid, I assure you that, you need hardcore players to be guides. Maybe cater to use a lot more, and forget the people who will not give you money come 2018.

And people like you wonder why Bungie employees don’t want to communicate with players?

That title belongs to Mass Effect: Andromeda. Never seen hype die for a game so fast.

Rip. The money that was thrown on the screen. OP. At least we still have friendship as a reward. Oh wait, low numbers and friends list is gone. What’s our reward now, Bungo?

Those numbers are disturbing to say the least. Stay hopeful for an amazing DLC maybe?

Sorry, Mass Effect. It killed a studio and left a fanbase in bitterness. And I laugh at it now in the way you'd laugh at falling on their ass.

No...mass effect Andromeda

Even though the cubs got destroyed?

Destiny 1 is pretty crowded considering . In the tower today it was full . No long lines for crucible or strikes ... kinda funny

Fluke Smith... Lol

But COD WW2 hasn't come out yet.

Edited by zNapSack: 10/20/2017 1:14:43 AMI'd like to see a similar graph showing player participation in Destiny 1. That is, active players on it's release date and over the same period of time after its release.
