What bungie should’ve never done was take out the random rolls on the weapons. That’s what I think really killed destiny 2. If you think about it, in D1 people get on to grind for that godly roll on their eyasluna or clever dragon. That’s what kept the grind. Also one thing that I hate was the fact that Bungie brought back some year 1 exotics. I don’t know about any of you, but I thought that was a mistake. Here in D2 I thought we starting fresh with new exotics and all sorts of new stuff. Well that wasn’t the case. Most of all the exotics in the game are at mediocre at best. Exotics aren’t as unique in D2 as they were in D1. How many exotics have you seen people use in the crucible that killed you with....let me guess the Meta Multi-tool. That’s it! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing anyone using this gun. It’s a great gun! Though I’m just stating that there’s not enough variety when it comes to exotic selection. Whether it’s in PVE or PVP. I can go into the whole re-skin situation, but I won’t. Given Bungies been doing this since D1 due to their lack of creativity and imagination. Lastly, I will say that I do find myself putting less hours in for D2 than I did with D1. Still love the game though....just playing less on it now.

  • I don’t mind old exotics coming back but it seems weird that most of them have a different purpose now ......in my head that kinda makes them new exotics , a good example would be skill of dire ahamkara...which now has oblivion helms perks .....why wasn’t it just oblivion helm for a start !

  • Mmm...I don't remember many exotics in D1 PvP. Mida, like in D1, was unnecessarily moaned about but it’s prevalence was quite rare in the games I played (and I used it a lot). Maybe Suros (very briefly), Vex (ditto), Hawkmoon (pre-nerf) and IceBreaker and NLB in Y3, after the special ammo nerf. I used to run around tight maps with the Last Word wondering why no-one else used such a fun and effective weapon, likewise quite a few others, like Tlaloc (hands down, the best gun in D1 and never nerfed). In D2 I've seen Mida, HardLight, Merciless, Tractor Cannon, a lot of Vigilance Wing (quite rightly it's a good gun), Wardcliff Coil etc. So I would say there's enough people using D2 exotics to state they are used on-par with use in D1. I'm personally a big fan of the very unfashionable Graviton Lance. Looks great, sounds great, kicks like a horse but with a bit of time and finesse, kills stuff quite nicely! People are basically like sheep. Most don't know, or care, what is good or fun to use or want to take the time to learn a weapon that they think their juvenile peers will laugh at them for using it. They care enough to have a look at Dr Vanguards YT channel and then declare to anyone who will listen that there are only three viable guns in the game! Hence why Mida, Uriels and Last Hope are so common. I won't comment on Halfdan and two CounterBalance mods...
