I never thought me, of all people, would say this.
But I am starting to lose interest in Destiny. And I'm starting to lose it [i]fast.[/i]
Yesterday, I kept browsing the PlayStation store looking for new games. And then when I closed it out and saw Destiny 2, I just sighed.
I just don't understand. How does this even happen? I was expecting Destiny 2 to be everything Destiny 1 was(Post Rise Of Iron) and better. It's not even that.
This just feels like a repeat of Vanilla D1. And as much as I hate putting on those stupid rose-tinted glasses, Destiny 1 actually had a raid that was enjoyable. It had fascinating gear with perks that were HELPFUL(Bonus damage to oracles, and extra heavy ammo boots, anyone?) And all the weapons were top-tier, and if they weren't top tier, they were still good. Fatebringer, Found Verdict, Mythoclast, Praedyth's Revenege, Hezen Vengeance, Vision of Confluence. It also gave us a sense of prestige and sense of wonder. Elemental Primaries! A legendary type of weapon that could only be found as a reward from the raid. Obtaining these gave you a sense of [b]power[/b], as on Nightfalls with a burn, your -blam!-ing primary was doing an unreasonable amount of damage.
Everything in D2 seems.. Weak. Unimpressive. (Except Legend of Acrius. I love that thing.) I'm a titan main(duh) and in D1, [i]An Insurmountable Skullfort[/i] and [i]Dunemarchers[/i] were not that appealing to me. But in D2? They're arguably one of the best exotics titans have right now. And they're still the same version from D1!
I'm just gonna cut this post short and say this: [b][i]The Endgame is not fun, and the rewards aren't worth the headache.[/i][/b]
I'm not gonna do the stupid Exodus Crash strike on prestige because it's [b][i][u]BUGGED, IT IS NOT FUN TO DO BECAUSE OF HOW POORLY DESIGNED IT IS, AND BECAUSE OF TIMERS AND THE STUPID TIME ONION RINGS AND ODKWKDJEOWKRNWOWJRJWD[/u][/i][/b]
And what reward am I gonna get? A duplicate/and or undesired exotic and some tokens?
I am 305. These rewards don't mean anything to me anymore. The Prestige raid won't mean anything to me because it doesn't increase light level. The weapons are boring and dull.
And the bad part about this is, the community [b][i][u]HAS BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE LAUNCH. WE HAVE BEEN SAYING THE SAME -blam!-ING COMPLAINTS SINCE LAUNCH.[/u][/i][/b]
YOU KNOW WHAT WE GET?
WE GET STUPID WEEKLY UPDATES TELLING US SHIT WE ALREADY KNOW AND AT THE VERY -blam!-ING END OF IT, WE GET "We hear you" OR SOME OTHER VAGUE SHIT
I. JUST. WANT. ANSWERS.
Address each of our problems and give us solutions that you are working on. Getting a "we hear you" every week is demoralizing, Bungie. It really is.
I mean, -blam!-. This game has become such a bore that I'm not even motivated to write fan-fictions or some other cringy crap. That at least should tell you how I am feeling.
Please. Stop the reskins. Stop half-assing. Talk to us. Give us a roadmap. [b][i]Do something.[/i][/b]
I'll still stick around. But I will not be playing as much until something changes. It has to, or you're asking for your game to fail.
Come on, Bungie. I know you can do it. All those talented folks up at Seattle can give us all what we've been asking for.

4 RepliesI have to agree with you. I played D1 since day 1 and played it solid for 3 years....... D2 has been out for just over a month and I AM BORED. It feels like a big DLC, lots a reskined content, the things we loved like grinding for god rolls and levelling up factions is now just a distant memory and the exotics well, i never used to delete them in D1 but now i just use them as a way to infuse. And GARY...........all that hype and i killed him with a peashooter, its a joke. Very disappointed. It looks nice but totally lacks substance. YYJ

The lack of good PVP has really affected my interest lately. Between the mouse users, full fireteams, poor weapon balance, latency issues and lack of good modes, i'm really starting to lose my patience with the game.

70 RepliesI humbly disagree with this statement. Yes, the glitches are frustrating and yes we are already at the current end game and want more. When has bungie not given you more? There will be more content for us to dig our hands into. As for the game itself, have you ever seen what needs to be coded for a game like this to work? Do you know how hard it can be to fix glitches? A glitch could be from a hole in the map that a barrier was not coded to were Calus is invincible when you run 3 warlocks exactly at 303 power level with the optimacy helmet, with a Titan using the Golden Trace shader on only his Mark, two hunters running void spec and all the players have to have an "A" in their names. Basically to sum this up is you can not prepare for every scenario while making the game and some extensive play time has to be put in before Bungie can fix all the bugs and make this game the polished statue of greatness it is supposed to be. As for raid specific gear, you got that and the super weapon you got is the shotgun! You want to grind for exclusive gear but you get upset when grinding and you get duplicates of gear? This feels like an MMO to me, which is what it is. Do you know how many duplicates that I have gotten from all the MMOS I have played, especially in the end game? As I do not know the exact number it is LOTS!!!! The game has only been out a little over a month and there is no way that Bungie can spare the time from fixing bugs to talk to all of us... there is just no way. Chill out, have fun with friends, and git gud for more endgame content.

2 RepliesI love Destiny. I'm a self-confessed fanboy. But I reinstalled Skyrim and dishonoured 2 today. What a bloody shame. I'm playing games I've completed countless times just to erase the boredom of playing D2. There's nothing to D2. Nightfall timers while interesting and yes they add a degree of difficulty, they just aren't fun. I used to book Tuesdays off from family duties just to run raids and nightfalls on reset day. Now, when the wife suggests I play Xbox, I say "meh" and start mowing the garden. Loot is too repetitive. They need to bring back random rolls, rerolling and make exotics feel exotic. Stop giving away every exotic in the game within the first 30 hours of gameplay on any given character. It's sad that they've nerfed the crap out of everything we loved in D1. Why they made arc burn Fatebringer in D1 an exotic was a mystery. And they've done the same thing with D2. By this I mean that they've limited gear and power instead of improving the game. I'm absolutely gutted.

How do we go from RoI/AoT to this? Honestly, it makes zero sense to revert the game back to the drudgery of vanilla Destiny and the make it even WORSE than that. Three years of progress completely and utterly wasted. Just talk to us, Bungie. Tell us what the hell is going on...

To me it seems like call of duty with 3 underpowered subclasses. I just play pvp because I enjoy it. Not much else to do now.

This game is trash and a huge waste of money. I'm done with Bungie, game deleted and not coming back. How can end-game content lack the end game content. What the hell is the point of prestige anything in this game. NOT WORTH IT. Just like the entire game. This is No Man's Sky part 2. What a pile of trash. F*ck this game and Bungie not caring.

10 RepliesI'm going to be blunt, I firmly believe this is Activisions fault. Their obsession with making money is becoming even more evident, they've most likely pushed for destiny to become a casual game, as that is where the money is. Also heard that Activision have a patent for a type of matchmaking that'll make people want to buy microtansactions. Yes deej has come out and said this isn't used in destiny but tbh I don't trust bungie anymore. What we do know know is that it'll take them a very long time to improve endgame and pvp. Destiny 2 is a great casual 40+ hour game but it's definitely lacking to be considered a "hardcore" game, in no way can I see myself playing over a thousand hours on it. Bravecole I completely agree with you.

How true. Myself and five other stalwart guardians have just attempted prestige raid. After three/four hours we packed up, frustrated and quite bored. Some of us may not return.

71 RepliesAs somebody who doesn’t live in this forum every day, I find it hilarious how the vibe went from incredibly positive the first 2 weeks to now very negative. It’s extremely simple; you are playing and looting this game beyond intentional means. You did everything there’s to do? you got all the loot you want? Great!! Now go outside or play another game until the DLC drops .. that’s what typically happens when you drop 100 hours into a base game. Just saying — accept, move on, stop crying

Their is no variety there is nothing to go for in Destiny 2 and player vs player is forced you only get to choices i was watching a youtuber he pointed it out and i got to say i agree with him / her i already grabbed most of the exotics to. I think they will bring more exotics from destiny 1 plus the youtuber pointed out that 6 vs 6 is coming back same with rumble and 3 vs 3 and 2 vs 2 to in future DLC that you will have to pay for. I'm so bored now i go back to Destiny 1 and finding new and old games to play that's bad the hype was for nothing the only thing i somewhat liked was the story but it felt a bit rushed plus i also absolutely hate the token system i will never play iron banner again because of it and plus faction rally i won't join that again either i wish they will let us buy armor and weapons just like in Destiny 1 i got a bunch of legendary shards its not funny i think they will bring back random perk rolls in future DLC.

Hi Cole, I couldn't agree more with you. I also heavily play PvP and even that is so lackluster right now. All you have left in Trials is the try-hard streamers. I'm sorry but when I'm not competitive unless putting in 60-70 hours a week into a single activity then hey, I'm tapping out. No unique perks, weapons, armor and no class balance equals worse than D1 PvP. Also, NO LESSONS LEARNED! What other industry finds this acceptable, I mean truly it's innovate or die. Unfortunately that is happening. Everything worth grinding for is gone, everyone has to have the same stuff or by default has it because there are no other options in the game. I've played since Beta, have a large clan that I helped found and guess what? I'm enjoying a game like Fortnite which is free. It's also way less stress, D2 is non-stop artificial challenge. Look at the NF and the Raid... I've loved this game through it's low points, high points and quirks. Now I just want to delete it and disband. Hopefully the next DLC will show Bungie is listening, but it's also hard to reverse course once it gets to a certain point. Agree or Disagree, this isn't Destiny anymore...
