I never thought me, of all people, would say this.
But I am starting to lose interest in Destiny. And I'm starting to lose it [i]fast.[/i]
Yesterday, I kept browsing the PlayStation store looking for new games. And then when I closed it out and saw Destiny 2, I just sighed.
I just don't understand. How does this even happen? I was expecting Destiny 2 to be everything Destiny 1 was(Post Rise Of Iron) and better. It's not even that.
This just feels like a repeat of Vanilla D1. And as much as I hate putting on those stupid rose-tinted glasses, Destiny 1 actually had a raid that was enjoyable. It had fascinating gear with perks that were HELPFUL(Bonus damage to oracles, and extra heavy ammo boots, anyone?) And all the weapons were top-tier, and if they weren't top tier, they were still good. Fatebringer, Found Verdict, Mythoclast, Praedyth's Revenege, Hezen Vengeance, Vision of Confluence. It also gave us a sense of prestige and sense of wonder. Elemental Primaries! A legendary type of weapon that could only be found as a reward from the raid. Obtaining these gave you a sense of [b]power[/b], as on Nightfalls with a burn, your -blam!-ing primary was doing an unreasonable amount of damage.
Everything in D2 seems.. Weak. Unimpressive. (Except Legend of Acrius. I love that thing.) I'm a titan main(duh) and in D1, [i]An Insurmountable Skullfort[/i] and [i]Dunemarchers[/i] were not that appealing to me. But in D2? They're arguably one of the best exotics titans have right now. And they're still the same version from D1!
I'm just gonna cut this post short and say this: [b][i]The Endgame is not fun, and the rewards aren't worth the headache.[/i][/b]
I'm not gonna do the stupid Exodus Crash strike on prestige because it's [b][i][u]BUGGED, IT IS NOT FUN TO DO BECAUSE OF HOW POORLY DESIGNED IT IS, AND BECAUSE OF TIMERS AND THE STUPID TIME ONION RINGS AND ODKWKDJEOWKRNWOWJRJWD[/u][/i][/b]
And what reward am I gonna get? A duplicate/and or undesired exotic and some tokens?
I am 305. These rewards don't mean anything to me anymore. The Prestige raid won't mean anything to me because it doesn't increase light level. The weapons are boring and dull.
And the bad part about this is, the community [b][i][u]HAS BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE LAUNCH. WE HAVE BEEN SAYING THE SAME -blam!-ING COMPLAINTS SINCE LAUNCH.[/u][/i][/b]
YOU KNOW WHAT WE GET?
WE GET STUPID WEEKLY UPDATES TELLING US SHIT WE ALREADY KNOW AND AT THE VERY -blam!-ING END OF IT, WE GET "We hear you" OR SOME OTHER VAGUE SHIT
I. JUST. WANT. ANSWERS.
Address each of our problems and give us solutions that you are working on. Getting a "we hear you" every week is demoralizing, Bungie. It really is.
I mean, -blam!-. This game has become such a bore that I'm not even motivated to write fan-fictions or some other cringy crap. That at least should tell you how I am feeling.
Please. Stop the reskins. Stop half-assing. Talk to us. Give us a roadmap. [b][i]Do something.[/i][/b]
I'll still stick around. But I will not be playing as much until something changes. It has to, or you're asking for your game to fail.
Come on, Bungie. I know you can do it. All those talented folks up at Seattle can give us all what we've been asking for.

3 RepliesIt's vanilla destiny all over again. People complain about how bad it is, they release some dlcs to keep people to still play it, then they release the big update that will save the game. In destiny 1 we got the two small dlcs and then they released the taken king dlc, which was an overall awesome dlc. I bet they are gonna do the exact same for destiny 2.

4 RepliesIm truly sad. I loved destiny for the past 3 years. I played as much as i could. All while having a full time job and a family. Destiny 2 at first seemed amazing. Until i saw it for what it truly was. I dont know who they are trying to appeal anymore. Its not casual gamers nor hardcore. They basically shot themselves in the foot. No end game. No real reason to play. Its nowhere near as fun as destiny 1 was. Im legitimately sad. They ruined my favorite game. I couldnt even begin to write all the flaws in destiny 2. Theres simply too many. There isnt 1 positive thing i can say. I religiously talked destiny 1 up to everyone. I dont even talk about destiny 2. Bungie doesnt care it seens what we think. If they think pc is going to save them. They are wrong big time. Pc gamers will chew this game to pieces faster than we did. Seriously im in shock

I put in around 6500 hrs into D1, so I'm willing to hang around a little bit longer to see if this game can keep me in but it's getting harder to feel any need to play. First off, I've been 304 on all 3 characters for 3 weeks, can't get the right stuff to drop to hit 305, and good only knows why I'm bothered about it cos I feel no more powerful now than when I was 280. I agree with most people's comments about the game , but there's a couple of.things that really began to annoy me the more I played. The first is the music. In the beginning it was great and I loved it. A few weeks in and I've had to mute it, and sadly that makes the game seem lifeless almost. Try it for half an hour and you'll see for yourself. The issue I had with it was the timing of it just seemed wrong. You'd be doing something mundane like popping g a few dregs in the head while wandering around Titan and you'd have all this dramatic crash-bang-wallop music going off in the background and it didn't take long for it to be annoying. Secondly, the graphics just seem to be a little washed-out and bland in a lot of places, and some of the textures are really bad. I'm not the only one who has commented on it, angryjoe ( love him or hate him) also picked up on this. I probably sound like a nit-picking serial moaner here but I promise you I'm not. I'm just mentioning it as these things are wearing on me and just wondered if anyone else felt the same?

Great post mate, I feel 100% the same way. Ive pretty much given up on D2. I wont be doing the prestige raid as there is no incentive for it. Im pretty much waiting for Battlefront 2. Ill return to D2 when the DLC is out as I bought the deluxe version. If I could return it for my money back I would. I feel like bungie have pick pocket me. But be aware that they're some major destiny fan boys and utter d!ck riders that will flame you.

11 RepliesSummarize. In a nutshell, you want to make an unbalanced ranking of the weapon from (the main mass) useless to (very hard to get) Superior all the rest (with a note you need to have). Also, return the game modes with a probability of doing 0.5% where to place the most unbalanced equipment. Are you sure that the problem is not that you lack the legal cheats? And spitting you on other players.

2 RepliesYou hit the nail right on the head my friend. Well said, I think most of us feel the same way. I must have done VOG 70 plus times for the loot snd loved every minute of it. Remember the 1st time you got mythoclast or Fatebringer? I could not wait to try them out even in patrols it was a blast. Now Destiny 2, handfull of coins. Really, even if you got a weapon like the AR it was no better or worse than vender ARs.

15 RepliesYou pretty much summarized the biggest problem with a loot centric game model. Let us make a simple comparison. Destiny - Loot centric game with campaign, sandbox pve environments, cooperative pve activities, and pvp activities. Halo Reach - Campaign, 1 cooperative pve activity, pvp activity, and Forge. Simply listing that off, Destiny has much more to offer than Reach did. Yet a lot of people would say that they enjoyed, and spent more time with, any number of the Halo installments than Destiny. They say that Destiny gets boring. Why? We have been conditioned to expect rewards from our time investments in Destiny, and we get like this when we don't receive it. Yes, Reach had an xp progression system, but it didn't exactly drive people to grind on the same level as a loot game does. We cannot as a community enjoy playing Destiny 2 for fun, because we have been taught that if you aren't getting something for it that is an upgrade, it's not worth doing. You can't just play strikes or crucible for the fun of it, because once you hit 305, there is zero point in playing it for anything other than fun. Destiny 2 is a fantastic game from a shooter POV. It falls short on the loot side for endgame, pretty hard. It's sad, really. We have this great game, and most of us can't enjoy it because we've been conditioned by the very game itself not to. I realized this early on, and am able to enjoy the game by Not focusing on the lack of endgame progression, because it should never be about the grind. It should be about having fun.

I've gone from laughing at people complaining about the end game to being so disappointed with Iron Banner that I bought an original Xbox with Halo 1/2. Bungie is just a brand, it's painfully obvious they've been bleeding talent. I won't get to play Halo multiplayer whenever I want but at least it will be fun for me when I host a LAN party.

6 RepliesAgreed. I just moved back to Destiny 1. Powerfull supers. My old trusty (actually working) handcannons. Solar burn strikes with dragonsbreath (dont mind if I do) All my old gear, shaders and emblems. I really dont see any reason to even play Destiny 2. Rather just play the Destiny that actually works and lets me have some fun :)

The youtubera and streamers who are Bumgie fan boys won't say nothing out of place because if the put a video out slating D2 they get wiped off bungies Christmas card list so they sit there like good little puppets and stream a boring, linear, GOD AWFUL PVP, and they say nothing! The PC Community will have a field day with this title

Same here, casual crucible has turned into extreme competitive 4 man wheels of death. I know I wasn't the only one that didn't like the the small maps and 4 vs 4 during the beta. No drops not 1 full armor set from the torture endured getting my teeth kicked in during the "Iron Broken" after 57 packages opened. Useless mods for weapons that don't allow me to customize it to my play style. Supers that are anything but super. Many are saying this game is for casuals. This game is for hardcore only players. The Raid is terrible, exclusivity is the word all of you are looking for when talking about Raids and Prestige Nightfalls. 2500 glimmer for a mod. 50000 spent and not a single usable mod. Hello! That's hours of game play for what a few tokens and nothing to show! Nobody wants tokens, nobody wants competitive play like crucible now nobody wants a collection game. Someone is drunk at the wheel of this ship! I was expecting a visually stunning, satisfying game filled with loot that I could enjoy with friends. Now everyone is moving to games like Wildlands, Tom Clancy's Overwatch, and ESO. As for me I'm back on Destiny 1 until this gets sorted out.
