Upvote to remove supremacy from the damn PvP.
Just leaving this here.
Edit: Overall trending 200 upvotes. Census says supremacy needs to be removed.
It's literally the only mode that promotes team shooting compared to clash and control.
There are those that believe why everyone hates it is because of camping when it reality it's because if there's a little bit of lag no one can pick up a crest and for this game mode the teams are to small for supremacy. Also the only way to play this game mode for a single player is to have a weapon that can kill quick an easy up close because you can't relia on you team mates if your playing as single player.
Edit 2: when I updated the first time overall in the cruicble tag it was 200 and trending. Now it's 500 and still trending.
So still census says remove supremacy.
There are many people who don't like the mode especially for quiclplay.
Edit 3: well I haven't seen this post in awhile so of anyone can tell me where it's at on upvotes. But still we had a nice dry spell of supremacy not being on the rotation which made for a better experience but then the update hit and now it's back. So let get this going again and get this shit mode removed.

1 ReplyHaha. 200 upvotes is not a consensus for anything. 'Fire Luke Smith' is in the 1000's. Why do people hate supremacy so much? It's straightforward and requires people to engage at reasonably close quarters, so it's more action-packed than picking a sniping Lane and holding it down with Mida. Honestly, I didn't like control very much prior to Iron Banner, but after it I may consider bailing next time I get it in rotation. People just don't get it. They don't get that you need to hold down two zones to win. They don't get that on Vostok B is a bad choice and you can pretty much control A and C from the rock arch area between the two zones. They don't understand that it's a bad idea to capture C if the enemy flips spawns after you were holding A. People. Just. Don't. Get. It. Supremacy is far more engaging.

I believe you mean consensus not census. Control relies more on team shooting. 200 yays is not a consensus.

Supremacy is a good mode. Use a smg and stop complaining. Anybody that wants this removed are bad at pvp period.

While I agree that the lag is buggering things up I would disagree with the concept of hating the mode. I far prefer it to Clash (the most banal of modes). It requires a bit more tactical play. It's good as a fireteam. Providing the lag doesn't interfere.

You must be getting a totally different experience than I am, because clash is the only mode I see in quick play that encourages team shooting. At least in supremacy they have to move to collect crests. Clash is like: https://youtu.be/-PZQvMY_XlQ

I like Supremacy. I want it to stay. Instead of trying to [i]remove content[/i] from the game, why don't you come up with some other PVP modes you'd like to see? Or at the very least, advocate for choosing game modes.

Yeah, the census... 200 out of a couple thousands isn't going to make a difference. If anything, you should advocate for mayhem, rift, and rumble to come back or the ability to choose game modes instead of trying to take out a game mode that quite a bit of people like. Let it be known I not a big fan of supremacy, it's alright but I would prefer other game modes.

Is it because you have to get involved in close range battles? Is it because you cant pad your KD / Elo at the same time in supremacy? I for one love supremacy, it is one of my favorite game modes as it's the only playlist I can consistently get into 1v1 engagements and playing like a pussy (90% of all who complain about supremacy) will net you a fat L.

I play a lot of team based games as a solo player and i never seem to have a problem with my team mates. Maybe they arent the problem.

The reason why I hate supremacy is simple. A very important part of pvp is proper positioning. In the game mode, I need to take myself out of optimal positioning and play worse to get points. That isn’t fun for me personally, and I end up doing worse overall because it messes up the flow that I have. I like to constantly be on the move, but if there are multiple enemies, I either: find another route to split them up, or take them on in my position I feel I can win. If I kill one guy I can’t engage the other how I like. I need to run for that crest otherwise my kill is pointless. Most games I feel like not playing the objective since I’m playing this game to have fun. Supremacy is boring. I never play it in any fps because I hate it plain and simple. Adapt, overcome, yada, yada, don’t care. I don’t have to play it, but Bungie thinks I should. I guess I don’t need to have fun either. Makes no sense

All they have to do is give us the same option we had in Destiny 1, where you could choose what mode of pvp you want to play. Don't know why they omitted our ability to choose what we want to play in Destiny 2 in the first place. They should've met or exceeded what we had and how things were in Rise of Iron.
