this crucible sucks ass for solo players. very disappointing bungo. boooooooooooo

Despite being in a full clan, roughly 90% of my matches are solo. If you want to do "well" consistently you either need to ignore your stats and go for the win or ignore objectives and go for stats. If you want both you either need to git gud or only play with a fireteam. 0 communication with a bunch of randoms, most of whom are horrible at this game, means in the long run you'll end up with around 50% wins. You'll have streaks of winning and losing, but do enough and it'll even out. Of all the issues with this crappy game, solo crucible isn't one of them.

I'm a solo player too. I was actually able to hold my own fairly well throughout the Iron Banner. I just learned to not care about win and losses.
-
Git frenz
-
Friendly reminder: don't be shy to quit if you feel the match is unevenly set. The way the crucible is designed in D2 can be a pain for solo players. So feel free to quit the match.

Playing solo as well. Played for 13 hours straight on Wednesday and lost 22 of 30 games I bothered to keep track of. It's horse shit. My efficiency rating is 1.46 as per my emblem btw, im not total trash.
-
I was running 1.2 to 1.7 efficiency playing with clanmates for most of the week. Started playing solo the last couple of days and been running 1.7 to 3 efficiency. Playing solo means that I'm not obligated to try and support a teammate in a gun fight or sharing power ammo.
-
Been running solo since TTK, never had a problem with I.B. you win some and you lose some....simple.
-
I almost always run solo and I've not found it any harder than d1 you just have to be a bit more careful not to let yourself get into a bad position and pay more attention towards enemy and friendly positions on the map
-
I run solo every time. This is no different than any other game. COD and battlefield doesn't separate clans from solos. Maybe get better?
-
I haven't had the same experience everyone else seems to solo. Maybe its because I see what my team is lacking and try to fill it in. I will say, the start of IB brought a lot of strong PvP teams into the random queue, and that was a problem, but it went back to normal by Friday. When I go up against a team I win 2/3 times, as I did in normal crucible.
-
It's okay, win rate is like 50-60% and I use the vigilance wing and foetracer. Usually I have some 4-5 win streaks and rarely 5-6 losing streaks. It really depends on you as well. There are times I notice myself that I lack concentration, just take a break and don't get mad. And there are times you really have good players at your side and you stomp them.
-
Ya know. As much as I typically don't like playing with people I don't know IRL, I find the best thing to do when you're getting crushed? Send a friend request to the fire team that just smashed you. You may make some friends, you may axe some. The point is, you build a network of solid players, and keep the ones you mesh with most. Before you know it, you may end up having a large pool of buddies to go around stomping folks in the crucible with. It sucks. I get it, but as it stands right now, unless you want to get smashed every time, you need a fire team. Not just any fire team either, you need folks that you can have fun with and can hold their own. The worst that can happen is you don't like the person and you simply unfriend them.
-
First it's the meta, second it's the lag, third it's the match making, and now it's the clan. When is it time to tell yourself that it is because of you?
-
It's not all bad, I'm still going solo, and doing pretty well.
-
Well, that's a communication problem. My first match today was shit because of my stupid teammates who don't know how to play control in D2 correctly. Communication is key. If you don't have friends go find some.

I'm number 102 in the world for best KA/D in Destiny 2. I'm nearing 3000 kills in the crucible, and I'm purely a solo player. It's possible, but horridly frustrating just trying to stay alive. Just find something that works for you! It doesn't have to be a MIDA and Uriel's Gift. My favorite load out is either Lincoln Green and Tone patrol, or The Old Fashioned and the Iron Banner SMG. Heavy is usually a grenade launcher or a sniper. Just do you.
-
At first I was pissed... But as of late... Been killing all you Clan Fags!
-
dont know.. in D1 going in solo during IB meant a lot more losses for me.. but then the crucible has become a boring team shooting event..

Edited by Ve7n00m: 10/16/2017 10:07:18 AMDo what I've been doing dude, equipped a Scout (Not Mida) I recommend Nameless Midnight and any power weapon, I like Drang and a sword and sit at the back, pick up power ammo and hide around corners killing people then tea bagging them. I guarantee you you'll have the most fun you've had in Deadstiny in a long time. The tea bag is the key element here, combined with the sword. It makes the people who actually think this game is worth taking seriously hella salty. For extra effect use Hunter invis dodge before swording your enemies :)

I go in solo and yeah it's annoying but hey if I'm doing better than the potato group on my team then I can't complain just hope I can hold them on my back lol.
-
Me quit fast, me never quit dis much I'm destany won.
-
Yeah you can thank weak abilities/extremely high ttk primaries for that.
-
Definitely agree. They need a solo que and to bring back 6 v 6
