Watched: Get Out An amazing entry into the genre and a great first effort by Jordan Peele. Some fantastic twists and turns and much like Cabin in the Woods I feel if I talk too much about it I'll end up ruining it for others. It's definitely a must watch. I rate it: 💀💀💀💀💀/5

      • Watched: The Autopsy of Jane Doe Thank you again Ghostmime for the suggestion! Starting to see a trend of single location, small cast horror movies as of late. It's not a bad thing if done right. This movie pulls it off fairly well as a father and son coroner team try to figure out the mystery of one Jane Doe's death. Things build at a great pace but I feel the ending still leaves me looking for answers. Overall really good though. I rate it: ☠️☠️☠️☠️.5/5

      • Watched: A Dark Song Thank you Ghostmime for the suggestion! It's slow and moody pace does an excellent job at building tension and the two actors do a fantastic job through the film as they try to tap into the metaphysical realm in search of a favor from a higher being. It stumbles at the very end by showing too much where as the movie shined when your imagination did the heavy lifting. All in all worth the watch. I rate it: 😈😈😈.5/5 It's currently available on Netflix.

      • Watched: Zombeavers Well, this one was pretty bad with nothing really redeemable other than a good gag at the beginning and end of the movie. None of the characters were anyone you'd want to root for and I could care less of they didn't make it. I know it's supposed to be a B horror movie and funny but it landed flatter than a beaver's tail. I rate it: ☹️/5 It's on Netflix in case you have a literal 76 minutes to waste in your life.

          • Dude I've never really watched horror movies before, even really well known ones like The Shining and Alien, and I've got over sixty of them on my watchlist. I did watch Get Out a month or so ago though, and I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it. It was really fantastic, though it wasn't particularly scary. A bit suspenseful maybe, but not exactly horror.

Isn't teeth the one about the girl that has teeth in her vag? My usual October lineup is. Children of the corn Halloween Dawn of the dead Halloween 4 Night of the living dead 90's remake Night of the living dead original on Halloween. Candyman Ernest scared stupid Poltergeist original. Sometimes they come back. There are some others but I'm blanking. Edit: halloween2 but to me that was continuation of the first one so I don't think of it as a separate movie.

                    • Dark Song and Autopsy of Jane Doe are good recent ones. There's also the classics - The Shining, Alien, stuff like that.

Watched: Train to Busan An interesting take on the zombie genre. Take zombies and people and smash them all together in a confined space (a train) and watch what happens. Kind of like Icebreaker meets Dawn of the Dead but in Korean. Great movie over all and I would totally recommend it. I rate it: 👻👻👻👻/5 Bonus: It's on Netflix right now so you don't even have to track it down.
