Playing through third character, noticed it on my second as well (all different classes, since Bungie apparently doesn't want people to run three of their favorite). [u][b]All[/b][/u] gear drops are between 2-4 levels higher than what my character currently is. A drop at my actual level for this character is rare, and it's forced me to resort to purchasing gear through vendors in order to up my power level since all power increases on the gear I get are locked behind the fact that it requires me to level up several more times to wear it. It's not a huge issue in the sense that I've got glimmer to afford it, but it looks like a pretty serious oversight or otherwise some kind of miscalculation by the loot algorithm. Not to mention it forces the player to rely on the roll of the dice insofar as what the vendors are actually carrying and whether or not it will actually be an upgrade.
