My raid group isn't ready yet, and I'm super happy about that. I hope that by maybe week 4 or 5 they've addressed some of these bigger concerns.
I've got a laundry list of things I think Bungie screwed up on for D2, but I at least expected them to get the raid right. One step forward (story), two steps backwards (pretty much everything else).

Actually the raid is very easy once you've studied the mechanics. The only problem is that most players want the raid to be scaled to their skill level. And if their skill level is poop, then they're not going to be prepared for the raid. There's nothing wrong with the raid. It's fair, challenging, and beatable even if the connection isn't very good. The problem I'm seeing in the raid is people standing literally in the open and getting killed out of stupidity, people not having the brain capacity to remember to shoot a certain enemy that wipes your whole team at a certain time, people not calling out symbols at the right time or completely forgetting to call out symbols. It is human error, not the game company's fault. It's not that the raid is too hard, it's that the community is full of simple minds.
