Exodus Crash is a terrible strike.

I understand and appreciate Bungie's effort in D2 to move away from bullet-sponge bosses, but this is entirely the wrong way to do it. The boss fight is ruined by his constant disappearing making it impossible to feel engaged as he just disappears for large stretches of time and leaves you standing there. For Nightfall the Attrition Modifier works terribly with the fight. I don't mind modifiers making strikes harder and like the challenge, but this was not done in a fun way. Instead it forces you to get a movement debuff every time you want health. You spend the whole fight crawling around, constantly on low health and almost never seeing the actual boss you're meant to be fighting (whenever you do find him he just leaves again after 10 seconds) all the while futilely watching your timer tick down as you wait for the boss to start feeling like he wants to be in the game.

  • This strike is quite literally the archon priest. Bullet sponge boss that disappears at random. Check Place on vex majority planet. Check A 3 wave sit and shoot while ghost hacks. Check Finally a bunch of running back and forth for no reason. Check

    • While most of the bosses don't seem to be bad in my opinion with the Vandal boss and Brakion being the only two bosses I find to be way too difficult, the Vandal easily has to be my most hated boss. The overcharge shanks covering the entire arena so you can run from to the boss to go heal (especially in the nightfall), the boss himself being way too quick and because of his speed and his active camo, you don't even see where he is at times (the first time I tried the strike outside of the Sturm quest, I died because I couldn't see the boss get behind me and begin shooting me while my 2 allies were dying too), and his stupid melee phase where the only way to survive is to actually be away from each other and pretty much sacrifice one player so another could heal only a little bit just to be chased by the boss in less than a minute. Worst nightfall I will ever see most likely (even Brakion won't be as evil as the Vandal if you have Titan barricades).

      • This, they should have put those anomalies in the boss fight, have them spawn ever so often.

      • I solod him in non nightfall. Love my riskrunner.... I didn't mind him really, but I'm also great at spotting active camp from all my years in halo training for that, lol.
