I'm goings to keep this simple. A gun that you receive from a quest that can be finished in less then an hour should not be the strongest gun in crucible.
Just take off the high caliber rounds and lower the fire rate by just a tiny bit.

Im not a huge fan of seeing it it constantly in crucible either. Hell, 4 out of the 5 games I just played had at least 75% of the enemy team using it. It's annoyong yes, but please don't start the cycle of Bungie changing the meta every 2 weeks. That's what made me stop playing Destiny Mulitplayer back in the day. My suggestion, don't go into Mulitplayer without a decent team to counter the Mida-meta. Seems kinda stupid, but as soon as they nerf it, something else will take center stage and thus begins the end of Crucible.

Muted you filthy nerf herder
-
It's you that needs to change not the gun, I don't even have the gun and I'm saying this
-
Do not nerf any guns. Just fix trials match making... Listen up Bungie!

If it only takes an hour, why don't you just get it and use it too? #nologicalargumentfound

No, its rof is one of its main perks and hcr was intrinsic to a main perk as well. Get over it, most weapons have the same ttk.

Just, stop. Stupid complaints like this led to the the death nerf of every good gun/ type of gun in D1. This is how the Mythoclast, the hardest to obtain Exotic in vanilla destiny, pre dlc, to be less usefull than a blue in any activity. Besides, you only think its OP because you keep getting killed by it in Crucible. And you keep seeing it in crucible because, in your own words, it's an Exotic "that you receive from a quest that can be finished in less then an hour" besides, I personally find the Nameless Midnight more useful in Crucible. It has explosive rounds, and since everyone is running in groups team shooting, it easy to deal lots of splash damage. Two teammates with those are woth 4 Midas

Are you nuts, it's not the best gun in PvP have you used the starting auto rifle, or are you just getting team shot
-
Lower fire rate?? It's already lowered since you can't fire on a hair trigger like in D1. Its perfectly fine as is.

Aim assist of this weapon is the problem You kill people in their aura
