I love the new graphics and I love the new planets and level design, but I just hate the new weapon system. I popped back on to Destiny 1 a couple of days ago and it was so refreshing. If Bungie had left the weapon system how it was in Destiny, this game would be almost perfect. It's like they've made one step forward and 2 huge steps back. Also, why did you mess with the character movement? My titan feels awkward compared to Destiny 1. You've basically made the game look nicer, but it plays worse imo. [b]Edit - I'm a PVE player. I've noticed, after reading your posts that it's mainly the PVE crowd who are unhappy, the PVP crowd seem to be a lot more satisfied with the new weapon system.[/b] My reasons for not enjoying the new weapon system - The kinetic and energy slots are far too similar / basically the same and most of the weapons aren't awe inspiring, are they?! This isn't variety in my eyes, it's a step backwards, where have those unique weapons gone? The heavy slot... Where do I start? It's a mess. Sniper and fusion rifles should not share a slot with true heavy weapons like rocket and grenade launchers, the same with shotguns. The grenade launchers are far too weak and as someone who used to love sniping, well that's another part of the fun gone, well for me anyway. MG's should make a return. [b]Second edit - To those saying "get good". I have nothing against being challenged, I like challenges, but I want to be challenged properly. I don't want watered down weapons, I want to fight against improved AI. Watering down the weapons and basically keeping the same AI as D1 isn't moving forward imo.[/b] [b] Third edit - To those saying "but the energy weapons are for melting shields" - I know that and yes they are great at doing their job, but so were special weapons and some primary weapons in D1. The difference now is that there is definitely less variety as both kinetic and energy weapon slots share a lot of the same weapon types, in fact, they are almost identical, whereas D1's primary and special slots were completely different. You'd never find auto rifles, pulse rifles, hand cannons, scout rifles ect in 2 slots like you do now.[/b]
