While patrolling in the EDZ, myself and a friend noticed that sometimes when you kill a fallen with a 'head shot,' it seems like the victim's 'soul' or even their 'light' is escaping them. Which brought up, "Remember how the fallen had the traveler before us? What if they are the light no. Since now they have a fragment of the traveler and they are trying to protect it from us and the cabal?" Continuing debating this theory with my friend, we remembered some year one fallen grimore cards about one instance that a fallen captain actually helped Cayde in fighting off the hive. So could it be that the fallen actually are [u][/u]now [u][/u] the light and us guardians, who stole back the light, no better than the cabal?? But that's just a theory, any feed back or insight would be appreciated about this, and are we really the good guys? -Also remember in year one, how every once in a while, a dreg would shout "the darkness" if they see you as you begin attacking, albeit was an probably just profanity in an alien language, but one never knows. [EDIT]: To reiterate, I am not talking about how every tome sparks fly out of the fallen when you headshot them; I am referring to how sometimes, you see the outline of the fallen in the shape that they died in.
