Bioware has officially announced that they are canceling any future single player updates for the now doomed Mass Effect: Andromeda. The game hasn't even been out for 5 months and they are already giving up all hope on trying to rectify the forgettable and mediocre story. What are your thoughts on this people?

So that's it? The Quarian Ark is just left in the air? We have no idea what happens to them?
-
Will they be refunding people who bought the season pass
-
I liked that game, I'm on my second game now and I still enjoy it. Too bad there most likely won't be a sequel or something ( still hoping for something )
-
Andromeda was BioWare's "Reach", let's hope Anthem isn't their "Destiny".
-
Good, they should also remove Mass Effect from the title of game too; it doesn't deserve it.
-
Can't wait for the sequel...

It was a fine game, I felt the Mass Effect name was a detriment to the game itself. If this had been a new IP with some slight tweaks it would have been a decent action adventure, but the name Mass Effect carries a lot of weight with it, there is a legacy behind that name and Andromeda buckled under that weight. Andromeda was a good game, just not a very good Mass Effect game.

Bad game. I'm glad it flopped. Hopefully Devs will realize they can't hype up a trashy game and steal people's money anymore.

My thoughts are "fuck you crybaby ass fans, the game is solid and is a worthy ME title and now i can't get more content or updates because of you bitches". I've been playing Mass Effect since 2007 and thought ME:A was pretty damn fun. I'm rather disappointed in both EA and the fanbase.
-
Considering how trash the game was, this makes sense.

Cancer tier game

I had fun, the first Mass effect since 3 and it's been a long time for me. I was just glad to be back in the MA universe again. Story for the first half was pretty cool, the feeling of everything being new and for this game I really loved it. I liked the game a lot but this is pretty sad news. The multiplayer still holds up though.

I'm so happy when Activision, Nintendo, Bethesda, Ubisoft and or EA fail.
-
They never should have released it in the shape it was in. Not even close to the quality of the last two (one was real buggy on my PS3.)

When u dont put shepard in the game

Edited by Psyntifik: 8/22/2017 5:48:15 PMHopefully this encourages developers to get their shit together. Recently I feel that big names have taken note that they f*cked up. WoW has taken enormous strides in the latest expansion since Blizzard realised nobody liked their game anymore.

It was shit.Period
-
So we don't even know what happens to the Quarian fleet. Okay Bioware
-
And yet Hello Games still gets shit for NMS release even though a full year later they still are supporting and updating it. I expect the same outrage to follow bioware that was shown to HG.
-
The game was doomed before release with god awful animations. Only get one chance at first impression. I bought it and liked it enough to get over level 70 with a character. When animations are worse than a game like Friday the 13th, you screwed up.
-
At least they know when to bail out.
-
-blam!-ing annoying.

Well the studio that made it got merged with Motive Studios and most of the workers there were on contracts so i doubt they had enough staff to make any decent story DLC. Has the mp been improved since release? Gave up on it due to all the abilities/weapons being drastically dumbed down. Carnifex couldn't even kill trash mobs with one shot to the head.

I have mixed feeling towards this news. The Mass Effect franchise was my favourite game franchise. And the Mass Effect 3 ending happened and my faith in Bioware and the ME franchise was shattered. So Bioware really had their work cut out for them with Mass Effect Andromeda, they needed to deliver their A game and make Mass Effect Andromeda the best Mass Effect game in the franchise. Mass Effect Andromeda was a good game. It should/could have been great but at the end of the day it was only good. My own personal time with MEA ended after 90+ hour playthrough with Scott Rider, after finishing the game I realised that I had no desire to ever go back to MEA again, that I'd had enough. That was one of the joys with the original trilogy, restarting the ME games with another Shepard and making different choices. That's the moment when I knew that MEA had failed because I did not care enough about the characters or the world to further explore it. I'm not going lie, I would have liked a bit more closure to MEA. The game ended on an epilogue that suggested that we were getting some Quarian Arc DLC. On the other hand, it's been obvious for quite some time that EA and Bioware were done making significant content for this game. Bioware Montreal was merged with EA Motive. MEA lead designer Ian S. Fraizer has been off the project for some time. All the signs were there that this game was dead. My biggest regret is that the franchise has now been shelved and we don't know when we'll get another Mass Effect game now that all of Biowares manpower is being diverted to Anthem and Dragon Age 4.

Saw that coming. Sounds like it was the sequel no one wanted

Sadly because of what happened with ME:A people will distrust Anthem, if Bioware can't bounce back with Anthem, it won't be good at all.
