I can't decide; should I get an xbox one or a ps4? I'm currently on an xbox 360, so either one will be an upgrade. Thoughts, suggestions?

Most games this generation seem to be coming to pc as well, so if you could get a good setup and a controller, then you're set. If you have a lot of 360 games that are backwards compatible and you want to get rid of your 360. Then get xbox. But if you're keeping your 360, then just get a ps4. Joining this late in the generation, you'll get more out of a ps4 because Sony is more prone to dragging out support for their older consoles, while Microsoft moves on pretty fast.

Best choice is to go with the console with the most friends. Aside from that; Xbox has better power, better security, great games, and a good UI. PS4 is best for their exclusives.

Edited by xXZeroShikiXx: 8/19/2017 8:09:18 AMIf you have friends who play both xbox and pc, that might be the better choice. From what I understand xbox is going to be cross-platform with a number of pc games.
though if that interests you, you should look it up first to make sure.
Don't ask everyone else, first ask yourself; What system do your friends that you play games with have? What type of games do you prefer? What style controller do you prefer, having been on xbox you may not like the feel of a ps4 controller, try one out of you are not sure. Do you have a lot of games on 360 you want to keep playing? Xbox has backwards compatibility for many titles. Are their specific console exclusives you may be interested in? Do you have a 4k tv or plan to get One? The one s and one x both have 4k blu ray and the one x cam play 4k games, the ps4 pro can play 4k games but not blu ray. Figure out what you want from all of those things then decide, nobody can tell you what's best for you.

Which ever one your friends play.

Xbox One - Power PS4 - Games

The biggest aspect is which platform you have friends to play with. Excluding that, I'd say PS4. Better design, power, and exclusives in my opinion

I'd recommend a PS4 and/or a pc. If you have both of those, there's really no reason for an Xbox. However, being where your friends are is most important.
-
Well if you were to go for Xbox then I'd recommend just waiting an extra couple of months for the Scorpio to release. Otherwise, just save for both in the end. Can't go wrong if you have both. There's no such thing as an exclusive if you have both consoles...

Hold out and wait until the Xbox X comes out

Xbox - FPS exclusives. PS - Knack II, baby! The future! Take your pick.

Where are your friends and what type of games do you like?

Where are your friends? What game genres do you like?

Play where your friends are. I made the huge mistake of buying a PS4 when my friends play on XB1

Wherever your friends are.

If you get an xbox make sure it's the Xbox one X

As a guy who owns both and came from 360, I like PS4 a lot better. The Xbox one's menus are just kinda clunky, and PS4 is way simpler. I also prefer the free games PS4 gets more and really hate how lazily done Xbox's backwards compatibility is. It barely works, some of the time it's easier to hook up my 360...

I prefer my xbox over my ps4 but just go where you have the most friends.
