I missed year 1, but I'm told they did have 6 man patrols way back then.
No 6 man patrols. No 6v6. They, Bungie, say they want us doing more team play, but they keep reducing the team.
I don't think Bungie really knows what they want.

No 6 man patrols in y1 - if you launch Vault of Glass with 6 you can access the regular Venus patrol areas though.
