To Bungie: How to fix your: Splicer, Intel Relay, Skeleton key problem. With solutions!

I am approaching this from a practical standpoint from my own experience regarding the keys while managing reasonable expectations for Loot, Space saving, Logistics. Here goes: 1) Get rid of Splicer Keys. They are not needed, at all. It's kind of cool farming them, but they serve no real purpose than to lock us out of events which is totally not cool. What really boggled my mind was when I saw splicer keys drop in the new raid - what purpose does that serve? Regarding exotic quests: Let folks sacrifice a Skeleton key to get their exotic quests done, painful but necessary. To my fellow guardians see Skeleton key suggestions before you blow a gasket. 2) Get rid of Splicer Intel Relay Keys entirely. If splicer keys are not needed then Splicer Intel Relay Keys are really not needed. I hope you didn't intend for us to farm the event because if you did then you failed spectacularly - the event is too out the way to get any real gains out of it. I'm sure the stats will support this. Just drop it. Again, to complete the exotic quest either open it freely (just not repeatable) or use a skeleton key (if one wasn't used already). Both the Splicer Key and Splicer Intel Relay keys were badly implemented. They are just visual representations of layered RNG. Keep them both out of sight and out of mind. You still control RNG, no need to remind the players. 3) Collapse / Consolidate Court of Oryx Runes and Archon Forge Sive Offerings -Make the keys universal and keep the three levels of difficulty (Green, Blue, Purple). Let's call them Hero Keys since the name challenge is already taken and it will just confuse things further. Only three are needed to differentiate between difficulties, which both Court of Oryx and Archon Forge have in common. The argument could be made that you only need one key and instead have three terminals to represent the difficulty, however, I prefer the three key method as you can tie the keys as rewards obtained from specific events. -Allow us to use the new keys anywhere: Court of Oryx, Archon Forge, or whatever challenges are introduced in the future. This will save space as we don't have to keep lugging around two sets of three keys (6 Total, or more - see below). You don't have to worry about key hoarding before DLC's if a new challenge is introduced by converting the keys to a ratio conversion if they buy any new expansion/DLC. This way we can use the keys anywhere and eventually run out sooner forcing us to farm them again = win win. Additional Benefits: Takes away the charging needed for the Court of Oryx. The Court of Oryx was indeed a good addition to game when it was introduced. Varied levels of difficulty offered with each rune type. However, as we move onto the new expansion I highly doubt you will find participants willing to stay long enough to charge the next tier rune (3x Stolen for 1x Atiquated making it a total of 4x encounters). With just the key you just need one run for each key you have. Another example of wasted space is illustrated by the fact that it's possible to hold a Stolen Rune (Fully Charged, Stolen Rune (1/3), Stolen Rune (2/3) - same case goes with Antiquated Runes. Come on. 4) Make the keys stack. You will lose every argument by not making the keys stack. There is no reason for not stacking them, you control the RNG. 5) Make the keys trade between characters in the App. I think this is already available, I just don't wan't you to do something silly like take out the feature. 6) Skeleton Keys. Increase sources. - Instead of Splicer Keys dropping from random mobs in raids have Skeleton Keys drop. Adjust the RNG. Again, there is no benefit in having Splicer keys drop in raids. - Guaranteed Strike Run Key. I recently did a 10 Heroic Strike run and did not get a key to show for it. I'm not expecting one really, but have you queued up for heroic strikes lately? People drop left and right mostly at the first wipe and usually as soon as they see the Taken. We want to reward the folks who keep the Heroic playlist hamster wheel running. It's hard to find an argument against rewarding them, and after 10x runs a Skeleton key seems like an appropiate reward imo. To facilitate this you should put an icon in the HuD that displays the number of strikes (next to Vanguard Buff) you have done to further entice them to stay. There has to be a limit to this somehow as I can imagine that this can be abused. I'll leave it up to you and fellow guardians to come up with a solution. - Do Skeleton Keys even drop in Archons Forge? 7) All keys dropped on the floor need an icon! I cannot stress this enough, they are impossible to find. Either this or have it automatically go in your inventory with the same animation that looting engrams have. Do they even go to the postmaster if you don't pick them up? I have laid out before you solutions I think are totally viable. These extra items/layers don't help in the long run and just add to the confusion as well as take up precious vault/character space. No need for layering when you control the RNG. I hope this helps.
