Bungie please let us keep our Veteran emblems in D2!

I often wonder how many of us are left... I would very much like for it not to be stripped from me. As silly as i know it damn well sounds, it's on the cusp of make or break for me. Having been here for the launch of this franchise, which was not the game touted in development, and having chosen to stick around through all the ups and downs Bungie could dish out, this simple emblem proves that [u]I Was There[/u] through all of it. Wanting to keep this simple emblem is [u]not[/u] too much to ask.

3 RepliesEdited by Eternity: 6/26/2017 5:44:16 AMAs much as I like the idea of them carrying over some emblems - I think that they should reflect time spent/achievements unlocked within the Destiny franchise itself. Playtesting a game for a few days 3 years ago is no reason to award an emblem in D2 (i.e. D1 beta emblems) nor is having been a special forum member or purchased some old Halo games years before that even.

Honoring legacy is Bungie's thing - it would be great to see more of our accomplishments such as some emblems (and maybe shaders) carry over to D2. I feel as if the emblems you have listed, as well as a couple of others are (IMO) crucial to be carried over. I don't even have most of those emblems listed above, or many of the emblems that may signify some form of veterancy - it only seems fair to those who have dedicated themselves to be able to hold on to that legacy.

I'm kind of upset that bungie are not letting us port over our emblems or eververse items, but it makes my decision easier not to purchase any in-game items in D-2., since I don't make the same mistake twice. Looking forward to playing destiny 2, but kinda sucks bungie is being hard headed about emblem port, especially when it's looking like D2 looks exactly like D1 with some improvements and new story. It is what it is, won't be salty but as a result my pockets will be light when it comes to spending on in-game Items. That's my 2 cents and I'm sticking to it lol @bungie

It seemed reasonable at first that they'd leave the old emblems behind. That was when we still thought that Destiny 2 would be a completely new expereince though - one that not necessarily would use the same emblem system or perhaps even had an emblem creator, which would render pre-made emblems moot. Well, it doesnt look like much - if anything - changed in the emblem department so not sure why the emblems - or a good deal of them atleast - couldnt transfer as a legacy thing. The first thing that comes to mind is that they're either going to recycle them or make new very similar ones. Or it could simply be an entitlement thing where they dont want new players to whine about it, God knows that this is a "leave no child behind" franchise.

Edit: You're kinda over doing it a little saying stuff like "Our legacy" and "our history" The main idea of the emblems is how old your Bnet account is. Well for the most part a good chunk of them is account age.
