There is very little reason to take two primaries into a boss fight. Especially since the revealed strike boss was another generic bullet sponge. Theres no reason to even have a kinetic weapon. Everyone will just use two scouts and a sniper because the boss design is the same as it was before. Ive never been told to switch off blackhammer during a dps phase, never
They designed it with pvp in mind. Two primaires is obviously the only way they can force gunfights, especially with only one, insta hit kill weapon, that dosent even carry ammo

Kinetic weapons will actually do more damage to unshielded enemies than elemental weapons will. And vis versa. So both will have their purpose. And I also kind of like the power weapon aspect. Feels more halo esque. Halo never had an issue with power weapons being used on targets that needed it, and small arms fire for your general cannon fodder.

Thats the issue, the old system was designed with pve in mid because you had your crowd control heavy, your mook killer primary and dps special With this is just forced primary

Edited by ATinyBushWookie: 6/24/2017 2:03:49 AMAnd we watched a strike, and they didn't have any issue dispatching ads or the boss with this new system. And it was only a small demo. We have no idea how they have changed the pve field. The only heavy for multi ad high damage is a hmg. All others are high damage single damage weapons (you can use a rocket for multi, but it fills the roll of both single and multi ad damage). So the heavy and special have been combined, so I don't see it being an issue. (How fusions and shotguns with stack up is worrying, only time will tell) And I'm not trying to minimize your concerns, there's always room for concern, but wait until the beta for constructive criticism when you actually have the game in your hands. Turns out you are right, I will be happy to concede and try and fix the issue.

Its easy to see the implications. I don't have to wait on judgment Plus, that was a demo strike. Not even a heroic one

You're making decisions based on preconceived notions. That's just silly.

Same bullet sponge esque boss in d2. Seems no different to me. Just less to work with weapon wise now.
-
It wasn't bullet spongy. From the few different run throughs (from different youtubers) they knocked out the boss with mostly primary fire, with minimal heavy use. And it was ONE fight. Can't base an entire weapon rework off 1 20minute preview.
-
Oh really? That looked like a vanilla destiny boss to me. Wasent even close to the shield brothers or al akhul Once again, non heroic strike. Of course they will wipe the floor considerably
-
not only that, but the guy says 'minimal heavy use' well no -blam!-ing shit, they ran out of power ammo immediately and had to plink with their primaries. it looked like shit tbqh.

You are right
