This reminds me so much of a fat person bragging about losing a few pounds. Everyone congratulating said person even though she's still fat.

Fat people need support on the way. Yeah they may have only lost 5 lbs but they need some support to lose 5 more and so forth. I lost 140lbs man I know more than you. Some of us don't grow up eating whatever we want and stay a stick.

It's more about having a personal goal and accomplishing it. Regardless of how insignificant it seems to small-minded individuals, it's gratifying to see improvement(even in a video game.) From the looks/sound of it, you probably haven't accomplished much with the power button on or off...

After that I decided to lose more weight but I didn't want to become that stereotypical skinny "gamer" so from there I began converting the rest of the fat into muscle. You see what happened here though? It all began from the congrats on losing my first 10ish lbs. If it wasn't for that, my will might have collapsed feeling like no matter how much I lost in weight I was going nowhere. Luckily that wasn't the case. Progress is progress. You don't go from 0 to 100 in one go.

Yeah we should all tell them we don't care so that they'll lose their motivation to keep working on themselves & stay fat & unhealthy for the rest of their lives. Everyone knows that mocking people for their failures & ignoring their success is the key to a happy life.

Which in and of itself shows how shallow a human you are. If someone is legitimately trying to lose weight and get in better shape then encouragement can go along way to helping them stay on track. Most people quit because they don't see the results, but most of the time it is others who see the results first. Giving them praise for their hard work encourages them to keep pushing harder towards their goals.
