Those numbers actually mean zero. I don't think anyone uses snipers, shotguns or heavy on the trash mobs that make up almost the entire strike. They use it on the boss for fast kills. They use it on tanks and cyclops and high level enemies. They use it on yellow bar enemies. Primaries with firefly, crowd control, reactive reload are used to chain kills on red bars. So those numbers go out the window. Without special pve becomes longer and more grindy. You'll end up spamming whatever heavy you've got then spend the rest of the boss fight using elemental and primaries. This honestly just seems for a way to artificially increase pve time (not that is what was intended, the change was mostly made to balance pvp) At the end of the day snipers, shotguns and such are going to be in the heavy slot. So in essence I'm trading a primary and two heavies for a primary, elemental and heavy. Not hard to figure in which I'll be spending more time in doing the same things.

  • One of the reasons they will have revives in hard mode raids. Longer boss fights.

  • Based on the people who I have watched and that have played the game at E3 and reveal they said that the game is a tad slower but the enemies and mechanics have been balanced to accommodate the changes. They pointed out that bosses based on the strike inverted spire I think it is called the boss wasn't like undying mind where it has jfc amounts of health can roughly 3 shot you and ground pound whenever you get within 20ft of it. I think the game will be better than people think but not as good as we all wanna hope it will be. The way I see it with this reduction and alteration of power will give bungie room to potentially add some genuinely interesting and unique perks. The only downside I see is pvp will still cripple/limit what kind of perks can exist due to balance. I'm doubtful but I will afford bungie a chance to impress me.

  • They also played that strike at max level and light.

  • Bingo. Numbers don't prove anything. Heavy and special do the bulk of the critical lifting in end game content. Primaries simply let us kill trash mobs to get to the next VIP target/dps phase.

  • So you see a number and just believe it? Here's one. I'm top 1% in PvP. According to you that's true lol. I may be top 1% in least time played, but my first statement didn't clarify that. Anyone can skew statistics to suit their arguments, especially on the internet. Using primaries more than special or heavy is true, but the importance of special and heavy far surpasses that of primary. For instance can you kill the captains at Aksis with just primaries? Yup. Is it faster, more efficient and safer to do so with special or heavy? Yup. Without true endgame evidence stating the new loadout system is better because of (insert stat here) isn't fact as OP iterated. Everything is perception at this point. Changes can and will be made.

If you think I'm gonna put any effort into making well-thought-out replies to your nonsense, you're sorely mistaken.
