Mida Multi-Tool and Vision of confluence are the same gun (Theory)
Im going to be discussing 2 things. How similar they are and my Story on why they are the same gun.
First im going to tell the similarities of them. The way the magazine is placed and the trigger on the Vision of confluence is the exact same as Mida Multi-Tool and the stock looks the same but as if it has been broken in half. Also behind the sight is the same and the rail too. But the Barrel is more bulky on the Vision of Confluence but it looks like it was smaller but more was added on to it.
Me and my friend spent a couple hours figuring out some Theories around this and this is what we got.
They were a very cocky fireteam l and did what they wanted after having so much success on their missions. After they heard of the Valt of Glass they knew they had to go for it, they wanted to be heroes they wanted stories of them past down generations and geneations to come. But the vanguard told them to not attempt the valt because they wont know they will be getting into. The fireteam ignored them and attempted the Valt of Glass. They were flying thrue the Valt of Glass, they made it past oracle's, Templar, and the gorgon's. In their toughts they knew they would win. Finally they reached Atheon, but their success was diminishing left and right the fireteam was getting killed 3 died after the first phase killing thier ghosts in the process. The last three guardians made their last stand shooting Atheon doing nothing. Atheon and his supplicants pushing forward killing the last 2 guardians. But there was one left, he knew he was gone but he didnt give up hope. He put as much of his light as he could in his gun, The Mida Multi-Tool. The solar rounds in the Mida Multi-Tool was doing massive damage to Atheon, after crippling Atheon his supplicants and Atheon killed the guardian with the Mida Multi-Tool. Atheon was curious and took the gun from his hands and time traveled to the future and modified the gun with future vex tech and brung it back to the present. Atheon summoned a vex goblin and ordered him to use the gun. Ounce the trigger was pulled a bright flash of light blinded Atheon. Ounce it was over there was the vex goblin in pieces burnt everywhere, and theres the gun not a scratch on it, the guardians light was still in it. Atheon kept the gun and waited untill the light would fade away. Untill we came.......

Whoa whoa whoa. This isn't a theory as much as it is baseless speculation. There's nothing suggesting a Fireteam went into the Vault aside from Kabr's and ours. And there is nothing suggesting that there is a connection or even similarity between the two guns, aside from the model, which was shared by a ton of other Scout Rifles.

Unfortunately you are way over thinking this. Mida and VoC share the same look as every other year 1 scout rifle. VoC itself belonged to a guardian I think. Props to you for the theory tho. Keep at it. Next time try using grimoire cards for evidence instead of spouting whatever sounds cool.

You are overthinking it dude. The MIDA multi tool is an exotic scout that was made to feel like an all purpose gun. There's even a reference in the name to the precursor to the Halo series, Marathon. The Vision of Confluence, like the other VoG raid weapons is assumedly a vex modified variant of a rare quality guardian weapon. The origins of the weapons you find in the vault are never very clearly explained other than the small hint from the vex mythoclast, that the weapons were made for us, whether this was the result of an experiment by the vex to understand guardians better or part of some underlying scheme to cause us to want to side with the vex in a future event is still entirely unknown.

Edited by JzstNo: 6/4/2017 8:17:34 AMWow. 1) the theory makes no sense as difficult as it was to read with all the errors I made it through. 2) the guns are very different if you think they look the same then that's just down to bungie being lazy and using same base model for different guns. Look most blues and greens, they are all reskins of eachother. 3) You clearly don't know much about the lore if this is the kind of stuff you are posting.

Someone get this guy a spinfoil hat asap. The reason they look the same is that they were both in the launch so they have similar styles. Just like most of the guns in the catigory for each expansion look alike.

If I remember correctly at least 1 member fell in the Templar's Well and the rest (excluding Kabr) were erased by either Oracles or Gorgons (hence why Kabr knew he came in with 6 but didn't know who they were anymore) thus making him the last Guardian. He did seem to get to Atheon's room and 'pierced it with Light' or something then used his light to make the Aegis but that wouldn't fit with your Mida/Vision theory. Similarities: -Mag -Trigger Guard Differences: -Stock (you might be able to argue Vision's is stripped down but not broken) -Charging handle -Bipod -Rail -Carry handle/rear mounted bar -Front mounted laser pointer looking thing Compared to the Vex Mythoclast and the Vex's normal weapons the Vision doesn't look Vex-ified or even remotely related to Mida in any way. A normal scout rifle remade from Vex scrap metal? Very possible since the armor is basically that principle but it certainly hasn't been (re)forged by the Vex themselves. When compared to the normal Vex weapons you can see scopes, rails, bipods, magazines and to an extent, stocks, aren't really used (could be replaced with Vex tech to make it more fitting as seen with Mythoclast) but ultimately doesn't seem to work with the theory. In conclusion I don't see how your theory could work with the lore or just by comparing all the weapons.
