I tried the demo...felt pretty good. I'll probably pick it up once the price drops.

  • Why wait? It's definitely worth the $60.

  • I played the demo as well and that sums up.perfectly what the problem is with this game, at least for me. The demo does not fully represent the gameplay, although the game can be as actionpacked as in the demo there is a lot of much slower openworld game bullshit in between those missions and that gets boring pretty fast. The game is good but it takes you out of the action way too much IMO making for inconsistent gameplay.

  • You keep saying that but I really don't understand. Roughly a quarter of the way through you unlock fast traveling. So there goes that argument. Secondly, the game is story focused. It doesn't have to be 100% action 100% of the time. You might just have a short attention span.

What has fast travel got to do with it? I mean the filler missions in between, those are often boring and tedious. You go from an excelent and well paced story mission into a find X amount of Y item or repair this transport station. And yes I could skip them but you still need to do them for mats and money, especialy early in the game getting money for upgrades is tricky. Those "sidequests" slow the game down a lot IMO and most are boring filler. There are some intresting ones but the majority is what I call openworld bullshit. Don't think I hate the game, I actualy enjoy it, but those parts just bring the game down a bit. Oh and tellin me I have a short attention span does not change my opinion in any way, it just makes you look like an ass.

And even those are story relevant. Almost every sidequest is story relevant, either to the main plot or just individual side stories. The fact that you find every mission that isn't combat focused tells me you have a short attention span. I wasn't trying to be an ass, I was making an observation. Plus, you've said maybe 30 or 79 times that game is full of "open world crap" without once elaborating on what you mean by that. So apologies if I misconstrued what you were saying. Er, didn't say.

See, now normally I'd totally be on your side in regard to the side quest. They are insanely cliché if you take them at face value. If you look beyond that, though, the world building they give is astounding. Once I realised my first one was a fetch quest I sighed... But the time I finished that same quest, I couldn't have been more impressed. They feel like side missions because that's exactly what they are. They aren't there to steal the limelight from the awesome set pieces of the main story.
