Jack, legion, thane and garrus died. Garrus died because Jack wasn't loyal and couldn't hold the bubble, I was kinda glad Jack died. I also went into mass effect blind, so I originally didn't know how Garrus died and it was just so instant and I totally didn't almost cry. I was also in the fem shep best shep camp, so obviously I was banging Garrus. Once that mission was over I turned off the xbox, went into bed and had my own little mourning for Garrus, I like mMss Effect way too much lol. Edit: Just thinking about Garrus's death got me a bit sad.
