Destiny 2 Plot Theory

This considers Eris Morn and Queen Mara Sov. My question is simple: remember that "plan" that Eris and the queen were putting together? How she wouldn't fail the queen? Well, what if that plan was to tell the Cabal on the Dreadnaught the location of the city, they report it back to the Red Legion and then they squash what's left of Humanity. Remember, it's safe to say that Eris doesn't really like the way things are being ran in the city and the Queen is still very on edge about us so it would make sense.

    • The plot between Eris, Mara Sov and Osiris was to kill Oryx.

Doubt it... I think that had more to do with the ending of Oryx and the Hive, maybe it flows into The Nine and the overall greater storyline. Maybe Eris and the Queen are privy to some knowledge that the Traveller and the Speaker is a fraud or a false God, who has used his power unjustly and abused it. Maybe they believe he needs to fall, but why not let Oryx do it? What's the difference between the Hive destroying the Traveller vs. The Cabal. Everybody gonna die... The Cabal on the Dreadnaught most likely alerted the greater empire of our location, abilities, etc, simply because the Cabal in Sol were nothing more than a scout force gathering info on us, the Golden Age, the Vex, the Traveller, blah blah blah. They didn't attack, because they were a scout force and didn't have the ability to do so. Personally, everyone, including Oryx was and is just a tool being used by the greater forces of the universe in and endless game of survival against inevitable death. The Traveller is like Prometheus, he didn't necessarily "steal" fire/light, but he certainly has abused it. He is pursued by forces either threatened by this power, trying to take it back from something undeserving of welding it, or want it for themselves. The Cabal want it, but are no different from the Fallen, us, etc. A pawn in a greater game. The Speaker is most likely a false prophet of the Traveller. Someone from the Golden age maybe?Perhaps Taox? Or maybe he is someone or something that has bargained with him to survive? Or he is the traveller or whomever controls the machine that is the traveller who, after it was disabled by Rasputin, took on this role out of desperation to survive? Maybe he's made a deal with the Cabal for the same reason? Anyway, that was a ramble and all speculation. I sincerely believe that the Light isn't a force to be imprisoned (meaning that it can be used by anyone without his permission or gifted to us by him... It was never his to give, the light like the void is part of the universe and those with knowledge can and should be able to use it freely) the Traveller, that he and the speaker have abused it for their own gain. The Traveller, The Cabal, the Fallen, the Hive, the Aramkara, the Vex, are all just parts of a indifferent universe always keeping balance, but currently the balance is broken. Pieces move as if they have free will, but all of it will lead to the unyielding and unforgiving nature of the universe... Aaaannnnyway. I'ma go over here and take another hit...

      • More than likely, any plots existing in destiny will be done away with. If you really looked at everything they've shown, destiny 2 is basically a reboot. Yes, our character did what they did in destiny 1, but for all intents and purposes we are different guardians completely. I'm not even sure if they've clarified the ability to bring your existing guardians character model over to destiny 2....

        • Plot - lose our light - find alternative "light" - kill boss in raid - either we get light back or we don't and traveler is dead Expansions - enemy comes to kill us if traveler is dead because they think we have no light
