I dont really think so. I think bungie made decisions on their own accord, because for every COD player cry baby complaining, there was also a hardcore destiny lover complaining the opposite direction. Either way, I think they are making the right decision by going to 4v4, will feel much less like cod. Better ability to control maps and keep track of enemies.

and look who they listened to, and the game did after the fact. PvE players barely get any recognition nowadays, i remember when games like the Borderlands series, Bulletstorm, among others gave a lot of recognition as a PvE game, not a petty shooter trying to catch the appeal of CoD.
