Putting realism aside for one moment, in the heat of the battle would you really stop and change a load out to suit the situation.
I firmly believe that before each fight you should decide. Having said that it would be nice if there was at least an in game radial menu or anything that prevents you from having to go into the menu.
Something similar to Mass Effect andromeda would be a good idea.

I would love to be locked into a loadout once you flew in from orbit. Or at least have an activity that does that while giving you random encounters.

You know how many iron banner matches I forget my skull mask on? I'd hate to be locked into that loadout.

No, but popping a synth would be very beneficial admits battle.

Youmean like gtav? That would be nice, or just a quicker inventory used just to swap weapons/gear.

Yes. It should not take out of the game as such but keep you in. A radial menu is perfect, but because of Destinys ALWAYS online style you can't slow or pause the game.
