Not disproving your theory or anything but the 2 stars could be the stars from our neighboring system and this system has 2 stars at it's center [spoiler]forgive me I can't remember what it's called[/spoiler]
Perhaps that could be the stars at question. But I doubt any of what I just said is true because I HIGHLY doubt that bungie is gonna take us to other systems

It could be but Alpha Centauri has 3 stars. Even if the third is very faint you could still see it from that distance. Also the double stars could be seen from Nessus, which is in Sol
