I'm kinda bummed those cards won't be making a return, I really enjoyed the pieces of lore those cards gave us
There is details in the grimoire that can't be explained in a story mission or two, what I'm trying to say is why couldn't we have both?
An in game grimoire like thing would amazing, let's keep out fingers crossed

No. People used them to judge how good they are and how bad you are Elitism
-
Are people being stupid on purpose? The op is calling for INGAME grimoire. Bungie seems to be ditching it altogether. They are dumbing down Destiny 2. Which, judging by some of the responses here, kind of makes sense.

Not at all..The last cards I cared about were Pokémon cards back in middle school & I used 2 sell those to people..Made so much money back then..#GoodOleDays

Edited by dogsheet_player: 5/25/2017 3:11:32 PMWho honestly cares about the story anyways. If anyone was here for it they left long ago. Idc about the story I just want a fun game. People only care because they got forum famous or yt famous off reading them for us. If they manage to make the story good ingame then that will be sweet, but expecting me to care about story that doesn't matter at all to the game I play is stupid. Might as well be -blam!-ing fan fiction.

Edited by I Pye: 5/24/2017 10:07:09 AMIm really glad it's going tbh. I've come across so many people that judge peoples abilities on their grimoire. Hopefully the content that would have been on the cards will be properly shown in game. Hopefully they can show these sort of things in cut scenes

I am but the rumored "lore tab" could replace them. Rather than going to the app or website you can just look at that but i do hope they have a collectable like the dead ghosts
-
Very. Let's hope the in-game lore is just as in-depth as the grimoire, because otherwise I may end up leaving the franchise altogether.
-
No, the were pointless.
-
At least we can look back and say, remember when the game's story was on grimoire cards? Maybe laugh a little. I'm stoked more story will be in game.
-
I'm sad I can't collect ghosts....
-
No, because its IN GAME, ffs
-
Not a bit, although it did help to kill time now and then.
-
Hahaha nope
-
If I have to choose between the Grimoire and an in game story? RIP I'll take the story.
-
Maybe there doing that so it can *gasp* wait for it.... BE IN THE GAME!!!
-
Way, WAY too many people, apparently.

The deep lore of the game, should be in game, not in some off part of bungie.net in a little card for you to read. That is lazy and bad world building and even worse story telling.
-
-
Only if the don't rid the game of all easily obtainable lore. Grimoire cards were the source of Lore for Destiny, hopefully the have a replacement.
-
-
All they had to do was take the grimoire and put it in the game! I'm curious to see how lore will work in-game now, will there be a record of everything we've discovered/unlocked/scanned or is it a one time deal and if we want to see/hear it again we have to scan again?
-
Nope. Been playing since year one and never read one card. Didn't even know what it was until just recently.
-
Three years of people complaining that thwy should have been in game. They put them in game and everyone starts complaining.... I don't understand.
