Actually you did not pay for ownership of content, you paid for a license to access content. None of us own the game we play. Trials started with HoW, but if you read a little you'll see that the agreement you accepted was that Bungie has every right to change, modify, remove, add or restrict any content or service at any time with or without notice. That is how licensed online content works. You're never buying ownership of goods, you're buying a license key that gives you access to services that are not guaranteed without restrictions. Secondly, legacy console players make up likely less than 5% of Destiny's population by now, and you're only getting fewer. From a business perspective, it doesn't make sense to waste resources on trying to support or bring back more features for a dwindling sub-section of the community.

 • I never got to play iron banner or trials so I just want to know why they can't leave trials and iron banner active permanently or have them on a time system or whatever xur is set up on so that us later players can experience trials and iron banner that all I want.

 • But, seeing as the legacy console players are still part of the community that bungie try to include and incorporate into all the competitive game modes and strikes and whatnot that they create, why are legacy players still excluded if they are part of the community. That doesnt make it much of a communtiy

 • A forum community is not the same thing and neither are legacy players excluded from the community, they're excluded from the latest game content because they do not upgrade. Most online-only games are like this. The developer has never guaranteed a perpetual license or access to all content that is created in the past or future to all players at all times. Look around at other ToS agreements and you'll see a pattern of the same.

 • Some of us legacy players can't upgrade due to financial issues causing the feeling as if we are excluded from the Destiny community because its not that we choose not to upgrade but that we can't upgrade.

 • That is such a cop out excuse too commonly muttered. We’ve all known legacy console support ended a year ago, in fact we knew 3 months ahead of time that it was gonna end, and every single one of you could have found at least one solution to upgrading in that time. $15+ per month between then and now could have got you a used or refurb PS4 or X1 already, if not a brand new one. For most people that’s 1-3 meals or skipping a few coffees/sodas. I want everyone to play what they want but that’s not realistic. You can’t expect to get and keep everything.

 • I have another question, but this one makes some kind of sense: If I move just now to Xbox One, would everything I've done (even after Rise of Iron release) go with me to the new console? + I actually bought RoI for X1 one week before its release on Microsoft Store, if I move, will i still get the pre-order features?

 • There is a one-time account import process you will be asked to perform when you first log in on your Xbox One copy of Destiny that will import all of your progress in the game up to that point. Since August of last year the legacy and current gen accounts have been split and do not sync. So once you perform this import, you will end up with two separate profiles: one on the 360 and one on the Xbone. Any further progress you make will not be synced between them. If you purchased a pre-order for Xbox One, you will be able to obtain those bonuses after you perform the account import (or if you start a new XBL account).

 • You may want to double-check the details on the pre-order bonuses though. There could have been a deadline to redeem.
