I mained various primaries for 2-1/2 years. And, I suffered through several devastating nerfs of my favorite weapons, like when The Last Word got gutted at the start of Taken King, or heavy pulse rifles (including the Lydmilla I favored) took a nerf 2-1/2 times what was promised in the patch notes. I went through autorifles, scouts, pulses, and even the aforementioned TLW. But while I mained a primary, I also relied on a special as part of my loadout. And I got to choose the special weapon that worked best for me. That's what upsets me about this idiot nerf: I can no longer choose my special, unless I want it useless much of the time. When I was trying out my Trespasser (not a great gun for me, usually needs at least 3-4 bursts to kill), I had an incredible game simply because for the first time in months, I had the tactical flexibility of two supplemental weapons. Since I wasn't really wild about Trespasser, I did most of the damage with my primary (a respectable but non-meta PDX-45), but the point is I had a gun that could do well up close as well, even if I could only really count on one enemy kill with it. And once again I wonder, [i]why can't I do this with two guns I like?[/i]

Is that fun, though, using your primary all match long? I can certainly do it and still pull solid games, but that's not enjoyable just using a scout or a hand cannon all match long. I love using my fusion, except I never really have ammo in it. Trying to maintain that ammo reserve is incredibly irritating now.

And I use primary most of the time just enjoy using special just as much

Every body dies sooner or later just annoying in trials cause most specials are useless after the first round do to round going rather fast
