I got some explaining to do. First off i apologize for not posting for about a year now, I did miss this but didn't feel motivated since my motivation for destiny had slowly died off after Rise of Iron and with Age of Triumph and the Destiny 2 trailers that motivation has returned! Thank you to those who supported me in the past and helped me remember what I loved... and now back to your regularly scheduled chapter. “Landing in one minute.” Jace said. When I transmatted outside I saw everyone else waiting for me. Behind Felix and Ashley there was a tunnel leading into a cave that was part natural, part Vex made. “Everyone ready to see the competition?” Felix asked. “Let’s do this.” Sarah said as we walked over towards zone B. We jumped over a gap and saw the other team stop and take a look at us. 2 of the guardians, a Hunter and a Titan wore Dead Orbit armor, while another Hunter wore a mix of armor including a Vanguard cloak and Crucible gauntlets and boots. The other 3 Guardians, a fireteam that was one of each class, were in the armor that we wore before the Spektar armor. “Wonder if we know who they are.” I said to Sarah and Ashley, checking the roster. “No way.” I said astonished. “What?” Ashley asked. “We’re up against Fireteam Ravenhawk.” “Who’s that?” Will asked. “They’re our friends from bootcamp.” I explained, walking over to them. “What? You going to brag like the last group? Rexxal-47 said, arms folded. “Rexxal it’s me, Matthew. We were given equipment for winning the final test.” I explained. “Whoops, sorry about that. Last match we had a group of four bragging about how easy it was to win. It was our 3rd f****** match for f**** sake!” Rexxal-47 said. “Sorry to hear that.” I said as Tyrion walked over. “Hey Rexxal, who’s this?” Tyrion asked. “It’s Matthew. Apparently Fireteam Winter got new gear for winning the test. “Nice. Hey how are you feeling after you went unconscious?” Tyrion questioned. “Just sore.” I said as Tyrion ‘s head moved slightly to the right of me. “Is that…” “Felix along with Fireteam Recon? Yep.” “F*** me.” Despite my best efforts I couldn’t help but grin. “Well cya on the battlefield.” I said before we were tranmatted to our starting locations. “Ok, we start in a minute since the Crucible cameras are running startup protocols. The fastest and most efficient way to capture a zone is with three people so three of us stay back and cap A while the other 3 rush B. Matthew and Will and I will rush while Angel, Sarah and Ashley will stay back and cap A. Sound good?” Felix was answered with a chorus of agreements. “Control on Shores of Time starting in 10 seconds.” Shaxx said in our coms. “Hopefully most of them decide to cap C and we can start with 2 zones. “Match starting in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BEGIN!” Shaxx said. Immediately Felix dashed towards B, closely followed by Will and I. Jumping over the gap to B I saw Felix pull out his sniper and pick off the Hunter that was crouched on top of a small building overlooking B from C side. “Good shot.” Will said as the other group capped A. A few seconds later we capped B, putting the score at Bravo Team with 560 points and 2 zones to Alpha with 300 points and 1 zone. “Eh, if you use the Aspriet helmet without a shader and try hiding in plain sight you deserve to get sniped.” Felix said, cycling the sniper chamber. “Says the Hunter that’s using a purple shader and purple cloak that can be used as a nightlight.” Will taunted. “So now what?” I asked, hoping that we wouldn’t be camping B for the whole match “Now the battle begins.” Will answered, pulling out an antique shotgun with four barrels. “That shotgun looks like it belongs in a museum.” I said. “Watch me.” Will replied before rushing Tyrion and DS-29. Tyrion jumped up into the air and threw a knife at Will’s head. Without slowing down Will raised his left arm and the knife embedded itself into his buzzsaw. Will immediately grabbed the knife and threw it at Tyrion’s chest killing him before he landed. Focusing on DS who was running towards him with a shotgun and an Arc barrier in front of him, Will stopped and let DS continue his charge. When he got close DS stopped sprinting, allowing the Arc barrier fade away before firing. Will sidestepped most of the shot and didn’t flinch from what hit him as he unloaded 5 shots in the blink of an eye. He shredded the top half of DS’ armor, who fell backward, chest glowing blue from the arc pellets. “What the h*** was that?” I said, watching Will reload the shotgun as he walked back towards us. “Fourth horseman, little range but shreds anything up close.” Will said, before getting sniped in the back of the head. I immediately rolled to the left so I wasn’t by the doorway the sniper was watching. “S***!” Felix exclaimed. Looking back I saw he was right behind me holding his left leg, which was covered in blood. “How long until this is fully healed and weapon specifics?” He asked Shade who was focused on his injury. “Solar round from a longbow with…” “Hidden hand, skip rounds and grenadier?” Felix said, cutting Shade, off who blinked in surprise. That’s Axton, crackshot with a sniper and a skilled Gunslinger. “Do you know every hunter that’s ever existed?” Shade questioned as he finished healing Felix. “Do I look like Cayde-6?” Felix asked, crouching and aiming his sniper where Axton’s bullet bounced off the wall. He fired, and in the feed it showed that Felix had sniped Axton in the head. “You look like you know every single angle, on every map.” Shade said “He gave me the angle, not my fault if he decides to camp in one area.” Felix retorted. “What did you do this time?” Will asked, Felix sent him the video feed. “That is a very clever, and a 100% bulls*** shot.” “Thank you very much.” Felix replied. “If you guys are done arguing I’m going to find someone to shoot at.” I said, heading back towards A only to get shoulder charged by the Dead orbit titan who was running out of the cave entrance to my left as soon as I landed. I respawned outside of the entrance to the left of zone A. I pulled out my hand cannon and continued my trip to A to find it under siege by Rexxal and Axton who were trying to kill Ashley as she was hiding behind the stone cube in the center of the cavern. “Can’t get a good shot on them.” Ashley said, firing at where Rexxal was peeking around the corner, as I moved up to the wall on the left of the entrance. “What’s the plan?” Ashley asked. “As soon as I throw an Arc bolt grenade throw a Firebolt at the same spot.” I said, forming the grenade in my hand. “Ready when you are.” Ashley stated. “Now!” I shouted as I tossed the grenade right past the opening. A second after it landed Ashley’s firebolt flew past my head and landed. Just as my grenade struck both of them, her grenade flew up and shot fire at both of them giving Ashley a double kill. “Nice job” Ashley said before a flashbang landed between both of us and exploded, leaving us vulnerable to DS-29’s pulse rifle. “Oh it is on.” I thought as I respawned, priming the first round in my sniper before running to the fight between C and B. 7 kills, 9 deaths, 8 minutes and enough rounds to break a Servitor later the match score was Bravo with 13270 points and zone B controlled and Alpha with 12990 points with zone C controlled and capturing zone A. “Attention all guardians, due to the nearby Taken storm this match is being paused until it dissipates. Please head to either zone A or the mid hallway and wait until further notice.” Shaxx announced. Looking, up I could see bursts of taken energy raining down in the distance.
