I think what most people forget is that between may and september is ~4 months. That won't be time for massive overhauls or additions. Gameplay reveal will give us a general idea, beta will be pretty close to the final version just with bugs and lacking some tweaks and polish and then it's out the door. So if it's thoroughly bad for the reveal it'll prob still be bad later.
