I'm convinced Black Mirror is the scariest show on Netflix.
As my hiatuses from the internet get longer, I find myself becoming more and more repelled by social media, the internet culture, and digital communication in general. I never realized how toxic it made people or how toxic it made me. I used to spend about ten hours a day on a computer. Now, I can barely stand to be near one, for fear that I will revert to the person I was two years ago.
I guess that's why I find Black Mirror to be downright terrifying. Never before have I seen such brutal, almost surgical satire about technology. This show nails all the ugliness of social media trends so accurately, the satire is not even funny; it's depressing. It makes me want to go outside and take a walk, appreciate how beautiful this world is.
TL;DR- Anybody else watch this show?

Honestly call me a basic bitch but I find 13 reasons why really scary, just because real shit scared me more than fake stuff, such as insidious chapter 2 won't scare me, but into thin air will

Pretty much almost all the episodes stood out to me especially; the soldier in war, the VR exp, talent show like factory, "popularity matters", that's all remembered. It's been a while since I watched it. I haven't watch the rest of the episodes because I lost interest but after reading this post I kinda want to watch the rest of this series.

My saturation in plots similar to most of those proposed in Black Mirror episodes has diminished the "horror" in the show. But it's probably my favorite Netflix show and the creepiest of them, but it's also really interesting. My favorite episode is probably Shut Up and Dance. Seeing as I just recently got a computer virus, it's pretty creepy.

It's even worse...because for most of us...we worry about losing our phones [b]more[/b] than our wallets (if they're not bundled into a case). Dat search history doh Haven't seen the show though.

Ima check out the show. Its kinda weird since i witnessed technologies growth on ppl. What ive noticed is.. 1. No one calls to chat really anymore its mostly all text. 2. No one says good morning really anymore 3. People are more lazy 4. All the texting/typing we do mfs still cant proof read lol Does anybody remember when the razor was the best thing ever? Lol the sidekick? Shit I cant remember what was before the razor.

6 RepliesI have never and probably will never use any social media, would I like this show? I'm not oblivious to hwat social media is I just don't use any form of it because I've been fine this far in life why start? Same reason I don't do drugs or drink(that and I'm underage).
