Remove Melee Rewind Mechanic?

It's annoying to be in Melee range, only to lose that status because a target's lunge decided to push them backwards and outside of yours while yours does the same as well. It's unrealistic and it shows insane bias towards the higher range melees by pushing them just a hair outside of most enemy melees while staying just barely inside theirs. It's unfair to tailor a universal game mechanic towards a single class' benefit. Why hasn't anyone talked about this? I don't even think they have it in other games, let alone to these lengths. Has nobody ever thought maybe this is why Titans are complaining about their Melee's competitive status, because the game fights against them at its very foundation? How does nobody consider this possibility? I believe the anomaly of the Melee rewind needs to be put under scrutiny at least for Destiny 2 if not vanilla Destiny, otherwise all the Melee inconsistencies will carry over into the new sandbox despite their efforts to curb balance issues. This mechanic completely stunts entire Class Spectrums while showing preferential treatment towards others. I think it would make more sense if they just removed this feature entirely. Or require it to be a perk you sacrifice something else over to use if they like the mechanic. Otherwise we're left with a sandbox that inherently favors certain classes or subclasses over others.
